Very nice. And 'cordin' to the comments, I believe I did it the intended way.

A cool intro to null portals! [/spolier] Though the entry area does become useless when you get a cube. I was thinking it was somehow reused in the cube like many other great puzzle designs. Still a very fun one.

Ah-Ha! I love those moments.

Despite many genious that say this is an easy map I think it is VERY tricky. Took a while to see the solution. Thank you for the build!
SpielSatzFail 14 Aug, 2022 @ 3:31am
I didn't think it would go into the direction of a null portal , that's why it took me a minute longer ^^

Nice map

Stood on the platform opposite the exit door for the longest time thinking what I really need is to be able to put a portal under the cube, but not have it fall yet--then I turned and saw the fizzler behind me....:steamfacepalm: . Nice puzzle.
Nobody No-One 27 Aug, 2018 @ 11:17am
I enjoyed it. Thumbs up.

Nice easy map

My 1-minute playthrough: https://youtu.be/bzSEIySwwcw very nice aha-monent type map.

Very nice!!!! :steamhappy:

Thanks for the chamber. Nice trick. Hint: Sometimes one eye sees more than two.
bullfrog 6 Dec, 2017 @ 1:26am
Excellent puzzle; the solution is so simple (hint: fizzlers can be useful ), but so hard to see - big thumbs up.

Brilliant. I love maps that make me feeling so stupid to not see so short solution for so long, while having the answer directly in front of me... :)
Petutski 30 May, 2017 @ 8:03pm
Nice tricky logical map! Thanks!

Great map. Thanks
BlumCoLe' 28 Mar, 2016 @ 4:28am
That was cool. Thank you.

I think this map slept a few months in my playlist, because it is so rare that I play single player maps. ^^ ...but yesterday, I played it, finally.

Here's my gameplay: https://youtu.be/XIYdEHPkBjY

i think i tried this map a while ago and couldnt figure it out. happy to say i got it. good map!
Pamsy 12 Mar, 2016 @ 11:08pm
Nice map! Hint: If you put a blue portal under the cube, while there is no yellow portal anywhere, the cube will stay there until you make a yellow portal for it to "drop" through ;^)
The Sojourner 18 Sep, 2015 @ 8:40pm
(and yeah, I got 9 portal placements too, though speedrunners will probably get less as usual.)
The Sojourner 18 Sep, 2015 @ 8:39pm
Excellent work, as usual :p2cube:

As with The MAD Fool, I was also stuck for the longest time trying to drop down the area with the hard light bridge and vertical fizzlers. Perhaps more height could make such a thing clear that it's not intended.

Does the solution involve a technique by YUKI_67?

Okay, I think I get it now. “There can only be one!” But as for how to fix it, the only idea I can think of that will work is to use as stack of fizzlers. As for the intended solution—it is VERY nice :)

Enjoyed this. Thanks
Azorae  [author] 3 Aug, 2015 @ 8:57pm
The MAD Fool, you're not supposed to be able to make it the way you were trying. I might need to alter the map a bit to make that more clear.
The MAD Fool 3 Aug, 2015 @ 4:48pm
The only issue I am having with this now is my timing when I drop down from the light bridge and not hitting the fizzler while it alternates. I was able to do this, but not 100% of the time. (Assuming this is part of the correct solution.) I think it might have been better if instead of using a fizzler-- you put another light bridge blocking the stairs leading out of the drop and have that hook up to the receiver that the fizzler was hooked up to. However, I am not 100% sure what the exploit-- or exploits were (or whether you like this idea or not). All the same still a good puzzle.

A solution that's hard to find but simple to do. They don't get any better than that!

Nine portal placements, like Mathey2009 says.
lfairban 1 Aug, 2015 @ 7:37pm
Took me a long time to figure out.
Mathey2009 31 Jul, 2015 @ 12:16am
I think I got it the intended solution. If I am not mistaken, with 9 portal placements u can solve it. Very nice as always.
Azorae  [author] 30 Jul, 2015 @ 6:07pm
Alright, changed a few things around to fix a few more unintended solutions. The concept in this puzzle is something I've never worked with before so it was really easy to let a lot of little things slip through the cracks. Thanks for pointing them out!
1one-nine9 30 Jul, 2015 @ 1:30pm
the first time i did this i felt that it couldn't be the actual solution to this puzzle since it was pretty much the same solution used in Interceptor

i really liked the intended solution to this puzzle. i knew the cube had to be dropped onto the button, but initially did not know how. then i realized that the first portal fired usually doesnt open until the second portal has been fired. it's a simple but often overlooked mechanic, but i think this map utilized this really well!

A fun puzzle. The DEMO contains two solutions, the first is, I'm sure, unintended. I'm not so
sure about the second. https://www.dropbox.com/s/2vt5js5mftozmuj/azoraesdrop.dem?dl=0

Easy.
The MAD Fool 29 Jul, 2015 @ 9:13pm
Nice :) A simple solution that is hard to think up!
