This isn't bad at all for a two day effort, and I'll be keeping a copy of it in my AA install.
I wouldn't know if the door is casting the shadow or not, I just know it's extremely dark along about 80% of the carpet.
BTW do you have any contact info for SithLord, I couldnt find any.
Ill be increaseing the lighting also.
Yeah, it looks like green carpet to me. The area right behind you in the preview photo, leading to the front door. It's super dark, but if I flashlight it then I see green carpet.
Also, I realized I wasn't clear on where the texture error near the stairs was happening. I meant the stairs leading lower, to the basement area.
As a very minor point, is it normal for the lighting in the basement to be at uneven heights? It's not a big deal, I'm just curious since it's not uniformly distributed.
In any case I am looking forward to using this once the issues are resolved. I've been wanting a map with a layout like this! Thank you for posting it.
As for the lighting I plan on fixing that soon, I noticed how dark it is. The doors arn't suppost to open. Ill fix the issues as soon as possible. If there is any issues let me know.
(also, green carpet?)
I just tried your map out, and I like it! However, I've got a big problem... the floor is 'see through' in an odd way, I can see stage geometry (polygons, wireframes, etc.) and when I move the area becomes a messy blur. It feels like I'm missing textures or something. In fact, the area in question is the wood floor shown in your map preview shot! Do you know how I could fix that?
This same behavior happens on the room leading to the stairs, and the room to the left of the upper part of the stairs. I'm guessing they're also missing wood textures? Everything else looks good, in any case.
Also, the area behind you (relative to the preview screenshot), the green carpet, is exceptionally dark. Intentional? The door here also doesn't work, but I'm guessing that IS intended since it seems to lead outside.
