well, i realised in the screenshots he is holding it right, the sharp portion is backwards.

If you look at the position of his hands, you will see he is holding the weapon correctly.

It may seem that the sniper is holding it backwards, but this is just due to his pose. I assure you, it looks like that with all of snipers meelee weapons.
