wish I could figure out how to make this compatible with the VR version. So far I deleted the last update and the ID. Cant figure out what else to do.

What problems that might cause? Are they stuck forever inside station and no longer capable to interact/hire and bugging mod from working properly forever?

This is great feature, to have NPC's on own stations.
However it would be great to be able to kick off some people out.
For example this guy who is in my management room and want's to talk all the time ;)

This mod is still relevant because it is a better way to populate your stations than vanilla (get more specialists for example)

Starting with the version of the game 4.00 - this mod is not relevant.

In the game, NPC already exists at the player's stations.

is this updated with CWIR 1.3rc? The recomendation is to not have auto populated npcs on stations you own. Anywords on this? If you have answered this already, please forgive.

The mod doesn´t work correct with 4.00. There are no Specialists on the Stations

Has been updated and should work perfectly now!
Make sure when firing employees NOT TO FIRE Them in a zone where you have a station because they will just go live on the station if you are using certain mods (like HR mod or something)

Except that there isn't an issue. You probably have 30 stations in empty space really close to each other, this can mess with things as empty space and regular space borders sometimes intersect and empty space and other empty space zones may be different zones or not. This messes it all up. It works perfectly fine on my system without any problems. I do not fire any workers in zones where I have stations and I also make sure that there aren't too many excess specialists, although I haven't had a problem with these at all.

I realize you had a problem and you had to start a new game and that sucks, but I can't reproduce your issue so something that you are doing is unique to your game. Maybe one of the things I mentioned above.

Also, this mod adds better NPC's then vanilla, so in my opinion is necessary.

No matter what causes the problem exactly, the result was that I had to start a new game cause some of my stations had more than 250 npc with tendency to grow and the game engine some trouböe with that in zones with a lot of sdtations in sight5.
With XR4.0 there are npcs on my stations anyway so it's not needed anymore and after beginning a new game without this mod the npc count is fine.
Atm I have more than 30 stations and will have more, if I would have 250 or more npc in any of these, the half size of my save game would be for npcs.

The problem isn't really with XR 4.0 and HoL. I think the issue is something else. When you fire employees in a zone with your stations, the NPCs go onto your station and don't really get fired and stick there and I think this messes with the npcs generated by the mod and with XR vanilla which may increase the amount of NPC's on stations above what it should be which messes things up.

BRSpawnNPC.xml needs to be unpacked from the mod file using the XR catalog tool.

Big probelm with this mod and XR 4.0 and HoL, the NPCs will not be deleted when leaving zone/sector, spamming my stations and are useless by a broken dialog after first leaving.

NPCs are on my stations now with 4.0, and I've never used this mod, so it might be unnecessary now.

Should work fine with 4.0. I am beginning to test and work on latest CWIR which includes this so I should know for sure in time.

If you uninstall, the npc's may stay there.

Lou, it will reset NPC's that you didn't hire. Ones you hired will not be reset.

What does it mean, "Will reset NPC's on your stations when you leave the zone"? Does that mean a fresh respawn, or it will eliminate my hirelings, or...? Not to be obtuse or difficult, that line just isn't clear to me. I want to use this mod, but I want to be sure of what it's going to do.

Thanks for this. I wrote the original one of these (strigil) and never got around to updating/fixing it. I went the quickest easiest route and just randomized everything which had all sorts of issues, glad you took the time to do it correctly.

I'm taking about "AB_Spielerwerft" from cappy1401.
Both shipyard are working nice together and I love the M3+ for my carrier :)

What mod are you talking about? Player shipyards mod? If so that is the one I made and this mod works fine with it. It should work fine with any mod that doesn't do the same thing. It is very easy to uninstall too.

I know that one of my mods, it's a playershipyard has problems with an older NPC for playerstations mod and I don't know if it will be compatible with this one, so is it possible to deinstall this mod without problems if it dosn't work together?

I still don't know what was wrong when i tried to spawn NPCs but you solved this quiet good.

I assume it is possible to Spawn general Traders via the Spawn MD and the Charactergroups too... therefore.. can you maybe implement it?

If not.. ;) i will alter the files for Personal use.

You have to unpack the CAT file in extensions, in this mods folder. Use the X Rebirth Tools GUI to unpack the CAT. It is very easy to do.

This mod is already included in conquest and war in rebirth.

This mod is fully save game compatible. It will not ruin your save

Is this compatible with the Conquest and War in Rebirth mod? Looking at the second post in the thread for this mod on the Egosoft forums it says not to use mods that populate player stations. Does that include this mod as well?
