Never said I was "appropriating" history to my needs, I was just saying that it looked good. when I said that maybe the handle was just a bit bumpy, i was not meaning "That was the truth about some swords" and other things I said ETC. but i get what you meant and I see why what I said may have been misleading. Thanks :).
like i said, Good Work. Its just a Game, no one cares what it looks like, as long as it is not a pony.
As for rounded off point blades, yeah I agree there were some, however they were pretty niche and you wouldn't ever see thousands of troops running around with them.
The link you showed is to a blade used in 16th century (not medieval ages,in which Chivalry: MEDIEVAL Warfare, moreover the blade wasn't used in combat and it's length is that of a shortsword, which further approves my point in 1st paragraph.
Never the less, I am disappointed that you disapprove. I hope my items in the future will be more to your taste :) cheers for the feedback man!
Lastly the way the diffuse and spec work along with the blade material makes the blade look really flat. Maybe the diffuse is too light, but when you move with the sword in first person view it looks like the same tone.
