You can make the mod a local copy instead and for a quickfix:
* Open arma 3 launcher and select the 'Arma 3 Animal pack' in the mod list.
* Click the '...' button and then 'Copy as local mod'
* A file selector will popup, find and select your arma3 folder
* The files are copied from the workshop mod to that folder

Now in the mod list there should be three Animals Pack mods,
* A corrupted local 'Arma 3 Animal Pack @MH_Animals'
* The same as above but the steam workshop one
* A 'Arma 3 Animals Pack'

folder is just fucked open it in explorer and move files from mh_animals to folder mh_animals is contained within (this mods main folder)

It seems arma 3 can see 'sub-dir' mods if it is a locally installed.
(you can remove the workshop mod if you want to save space)


But the best thing is if author fixed it on his end of course.

@iBuddha I'm looking around on creating scripts like that. Such as the ACE2 Dog from Arma 3. Followed the Blufor player and you can use it for EOD missions, SAR, and more...

you should do attack dogs that attach with a blufor player, could add more immersion to realism units :)
