This trumpet is meant to be used in a motorway system that uses collector / distributor & express lanes. That means that the inner lanes of the four lane road just go straight as these are the express lanes. If you want to switch lane from the express lanes to the collector lanes or vice versa you'll have to use a so called Basketweave Interchange. You can find a road system like this in Ontario, Canada for example (Ontario Express 401). ;)

I'm confused why there are four lanes instead of two?
