Worked for me in Oldrim in 2023, siding with the Empire. Whiterun and Windhelm gradually repaired. Disabled afterward with no issue. Untested for Stormcloaks (Solitude). Thanks, upvoted!

i got mine to work i played with it uninstalled it played without it for like 5 minutes reinstalled it then verified game files

In my honest Opinion, Helgen needs to stay destroyed, lest Tamriel forget what happened there.

This mod works as of 5/24/2019. Just put it a little high in the load order, and it worked, got the message "the people of Skyrim finished their repairs today" and it was all fixed :)

Too many posts say "it didn't work", with zero response from the mod author. I think I'll pass on this one. Too bad, as the theme of it looks to be the right idea.

What your mod did was instead of cleaning up the cityes, it makes my game freeze during the loading without un-freezing after a longer period of time. The problem is still there after uninstalling the mod. I would like a solution asap please.

The Whiterun gazebo is stil in pieces.... houses are missing pieces... I've changed the launch order, but I'm fairly certain this one isn't working as intended anymore.

If anyone is still reading these posts...I never saw a message saying the repairs are complete. Is it ok to unsubscribe without seeing that? or should I still be waiting for more changes to happen?

Note to those who may be trying it out:
Nothing happened all at once ,and it only changed the damage from the Civil War quest battles. Things changed over a few real days of playing, but I haven't noticed anything new for a while and if there was an end message, I missed it. Just so you know not to expect immediate changes.

yes! Took a few days ingame for the cleanup to finish, but now they look like liveable cities again!

I second the request for this to be in SSE. I don't want to do the Civil War without it. The cities are so ugly after the Civil War. Please put this into SSE!

Do you have plans to port this to SSE? If not, please grant permission to someone else to port this to SSE. This mod is one of those that I have considered "essential" to play of the game following the conclusion of the civil war. Kudos and thanks to you for providing it.

Please make a pc version of this for SSE. No one has made a mod yet that addresses post-civil war damage.

unsubscribed, deleted, subscribed again and now it works

All the rubble is gone, the rooftop in Windhelm (the one in the screenshot) and the area around the Gildergreen in Whiterun is still damaged. Any ideas what went wrong?

Thank you for Civil War Cleanup. I wish to report that I have had no problems with it, and I consider it to be essential. In my latest playthroough, it somehow got activated while I was in the middle of the war, and when I realized this I was very worried that my game would get screwed up. But de-activated it, finished the war, and then activated it, and it worked fine. Thanks again.

I have one issue now, though:
This mod worked with my previous playthroughs, but with the current one I messed it up, unfortunately. I didn't think (because I was too tired that day) and activated the mod too soon before all battles were over, and now it doesn't take any effect (even after the battles). I cannot deactivate it since the game crashes immediately without this mod being in the list anymore. And I cannot go back to an older savegame either since it's been a while..
Does anyone know what I could do to get it to work after all?

this is essential.

i would love to see a heartfire adaptation of this where you gather materials and rebuild the buildings and maybe even customize them. Maybe even add a quest for building specific people's houses (like hemskr and that palagia farmer dude) where they consider you a friend and let you take all their stuff hat you put in and it refreshes normally. maybe even add cool things like catapults and ballista on the walls (whether they worked or not they would still look cool and add an ingame reason for the dragons not to enter towns). i suppose i should just make one but i dont know how to do that. if this already exists, please point me to it.

I've got a problem, after I ran this mod once and then unsubscribed, SMIM stopped working for most of the buildings in whiterun and a few other places now have default mesh again. SMIM is working still because of some noticable things like rings and chests, but the posts around whiterun? octogons- not circles. I already tried changing the load order and reinstalling SMIM. Any advice or fixes?
