7+ years after its creation, and the Ghoul still holds up. I just had one spawned in as a SPRT Mayday about 5 km out while I was trying to pick off the guns of a wreck from the MES Wreckage mod - and something happened that I had never seen before... the Ghoul came in and attacked me! I've never seen it go aggressive unless I was aiming at it and closer than 1 km... I was focused on my target, and my defense gund going off scared the heck out of me! It was pretty awesome, honestly. And not many ships really still hold up that well after that long. Nice job!

Moin moin!

An excellent ship concept!

After another player on our DS used one of those for Black Op raiding runs I took the freedom to tweak this design to be an even more efficient Scout/Raider.

I dubbed it the Vampire and the latest iteration was dubbed Vulture and is very capable for this specific purpose:

And since we have planets now I redeveloped it for planetary use, too.
The first iteration, Zombie, was quickly redesigned for even level entry and dubbed the Raven:

And yes, one can still add the remote & antenna again if need be.

Thank you for your inspiration!

Duck 17 Oct, 2015 @ 8:58am
is this easy to build or hard?
Pasta_power 22 Sep, 2015 @ 6:08pm
That's a very impressive use of rounded corner blocks if I ever saw it. Well done!

Commendable bit of community spirit that! Thanks. I'll link you when they're posted.
Cool name too... of course now I have to think up matching names for the new versions. Thought up 2 straight away (possibly a droll 3rd) but there's only so many words beginning with GH! :steamhappy:

"GH - 0 (UL) Corvette" as Germanischer Hyperengineerings' model zero (universal & lightweight) Corvette.

or whatever else you find better :-)

or funnier at least :-)

cptsavarus - no problem, published this blueprint just to share that anyone can take it, test it (hopefully write some opinions and suggestions too), mod it, rebuild, use parts of it... and generally do whatever he or she like to do with it.

shadowpheonix787 - no needs to sorry, constructive criticism always welcome

Thanks all You guys for such warm welcome on the workshop.

ooo i like the look of this I MUST BUILD IT
cptsavarus 29 Aug, 2015 @ 4:26pm
Glad this is getting you a lot of viws & subs. Definitely deserved of them! At first I thought the small size would make it difficult to modify the ship for different roles while keeping the look but the more I play with it the more I realise that it can be turned into anything at all. So far I've managed to turn it into a cargo transporter, a respawn / survival ship, a combat carrier, a search & rescue ship, a drill, a welder / grinder and an automated solar beacon layer. Thinking it'd make a fantastic bomber with a built-in bomb printer too. Might just go out on a limb & say best SE ship on the workshop to date!

Would you mind if I published some of these on the workshop? With credit & a link of course.

What does the accronym in the name stand for by the way?

Still giving props. Sorry if my comments sounded harsh, they were not intended so. I tend to get very analytical.
Thanks for all these nice comments!
shadowpheonix787 - well didn't play much in multi (due to my crazy job, spending about half of each year without net) so didn't find out much sense for beacon ;-) and 've put there an ore detector for occasional exploration while scouting... well after all it's just a reasonably small ship still with jump drive and pressurized interior so no matter the main purpose of the trip it's always better to scan some asteroids just by the way (i like it in infinite worlds to have a quite catalogue in my GPS with coordinates of various asteroids with described shape and available ores).
And bout the armor... one for you. It might be better for performance... didn't change them yet but i guess that there won't be much visible difference especially from a reasonable distance.
Hmmmm... anyway - you can always change whatever you like and save it as your own.

Once again - thanks for comments useful in future creations.

Love the way this ship looks. Great job
shadowpheonix787 28 Aug, 2015 @ 3:22pm
Very nice. Only thing I'd do is swap out the 'rounded' armor for the 'round' armor. The 'rounded' crap plays with graphics cards too much as it tries to warp and make other blocks around it fit it's shape. Might I ask the purpose for the ore detector on a vette? Just trying to follow the train of thought; as I considered replacing it with a beacon. (many servers will delete objects with no beacon if left idle)
John-118 28 Aug, 2015 @ 4:41am
Really like the shape of the ship nicely done:steamhappy:
Xzanos 27 Aug, 2015 @ 11:29pm

Glaro_DRA 27 Aug, 2015 @ 5:31am
Rly nice design!
BIG TUNA 27 Aug, 2015 @ 12:13am
The front page photo makes it look like a drill (of course no disrespect meant towards this vessol).
Elorrah 26 Aug, 2015 @ 5:19am
Very pretty! Love the curves and structure!
5URG3 26 Aug, 2015 @ 3:13am
Excellent first upload. Well Done. MMaster's LCD script would probably do the job for the display.
ronbert mcflorgul 26 Aug, 2015 @ 3:12am
Looks very Grineer from Warframe c:
SievertChaser 26 Aug, 2015 @ 1:57am
Yep, beautifully done.
Yaddah 25 Aug, 2015 @ 2:56pm
This looks so cool. Very neatly designed!
Jack BeFlippen 25 Aug, 2015 @ 2:00pm

Maks2103 25 Aug, 2015 @ 10:33am

Saigon  [author] 25 Aug, 2015 @ 7:56am
Thank You guys for nice words.
As stated in description no working on program as to give you some useless info on that text panel inside :-)
Ain't got anything similar to match... maybe will do something bigger, some frigate style of somehow similar design... well for now feel free to copy/modify and whatever You like with this one.
Joshua Norton 24 Aug, 2015 @ 5:56am
Nicely done and so small, i love it, even if i usually don't really like the round blocks/designs :)
Sagirou 23 Aug, 2015 @ 2:55pm
Awesome
Stratus 23 Aug, 2015 @ 5:08am
That is a unique design you got there! I love the struts for the thrusters.:fire:
cptsavarus 22 Aug, 2015 @ 9:42am
Cool design. Different. Bit of an alien-y feel to it. Kind of reminds me of one of the heavy fighters from Imperium Galactica. Love the blend of rounded blocks vs angular. You've pulled that off very well. Do you have other ships to match? I'd love to see a whole fleet in this style!
