how do i play?
BroQ  [author] 14 Sep, 2015 @ 9:55pm
@EMan666 Search the workshop for Osama_B3_Push. Or click on my profile and look under my workshop created items.
EMan666 14 Sep, 2015 @ 9:01pm
Where can I find osama_b3? I don't see it in the workshop or at insmaps.com .
publicENEMY 14 Sep, 2015 @ 3:53am
Daytime maps please. No point in having powerful GPU when all you can see is greenish. Once in a while might be fun. But staring at green for hours is no fun at all.

I hate night maps.
BroQ  [author] 13 Sep, 2015 @ 7:22pm
@EMan666 Osama_b1 has been updated to Osama_b3 so that's fixed currently. As for crashing on checkpoint, I'm not sure. No one else seems to have that problem. Let me know if you can find an Error and I'll try and help.
EMan666 13 Sep, 2015 @ 5:21pm
Are you going to do any more with osama_b1, the daytime hunt and checkpoint? I noticed it had the wrong nav file in it, the checkpoint on hunt were out of range, the checkpoint map crashed me back to steam.
Mamba 10 Sep, 2015 @ 6:30am
Ok sparkie...you out-geeked me on that one. ;)
Our server is private so I keep default maps in my mapcycle, and only enough to populate the end-game vote screen. We mainly play custom maps and I rcon those on the fly.
Sparkie951 10 Sep, 2015 @ 12:33am
@Mamba: you mentioned a text file for all your maps sorted... I took it one step further... I have them in an SQL file so that when I make a change and copy the maps into place that I update all the mapcycle files at the same time... Quite a time saver :)
BroQ  [author] 9 Sep, 2015 @ 10:01pm
@turdmancan There are several online servers that play different gamemodes of this map. Or check out the instructions in the description on how to play it on singleplayer.
sinsinboi 9 Sep, 2015 @ 7:04pm
how do i play this?
Mamba 3 Sep, 2015 @ 2:18pm
Tx sparkie...I'm not the only one. lol
Besides, I keep a master text file of all our maps sorted by mode and since many maps are multi-mode I have the correct syntax already specified for each map in each mode section. Makes it quick to copy/paste for rcon changelevel commands on our server.
Sparkie951 2 Sep, 2015 @ 10:50am
I have found that what ever map I have, I always add the mode of play after it.. May be extra data, but is worth the extra time... I have had a lot better luck doing it that way... In this case I use "map osama_b2_checkpoint checkpoint"
Mamba 2 Sep, 2015 @ 10:21am
Yep, I'm just a stickler for form. lol
No worries mate....studies (and grades) take priority. Tx!
BroQ  [author] 2 Sep, 2015 @ 10:03am
@Mamba You're right! But this specific map only has checkpoint so it wouldn't matter either or. And I'm trying my best to get Checkpoint_B3 out by Saturday if not sooner. School started up again this week so I'm a little strapped on time :rshocked:
Mamba 2 Sep, 2015 @ 6:51am
Technically, it should be: map osama_b2_checkpoint checkpoint
Since many maps support multiple playing modes it's good form to add the mode desired after the map-name. If not specified, the map *should* load up in it's default mode but I've seen strange model glitches in some maps when the mode is not specified.

Looking forward to the day version soon!
BroQ  [author] 1 Sep, 2015 @ 4:09pm
@Crow hah Don't worry! I didn't know it either untill I made this map. The command is gonna be: map osama_b2_checkpoint
Crowdaddy 1 Sep, 2015 @ 2:54pm
this is gonna be realy embarrasing. but whats the console command to load this map?
BroQ  [author] 28 Aug, 2015 @ 12:46pm
@Sparkie951 I'll get you a day version of coop checkpoint here soon. :)
Sparkie951 28 Aug, 2015 @ 10:39am
BTW, Even though may be harder, A day light version would be good... Big request for it on my servers.
Sparkie951 28 Aug, 2015 @ 10:38am
₢.BroQ: I looked on Game Banana and could not find a CheckPoint Version. I see the Hunt and B1 version, but no Checkpoint Version.
Sparkie951 28 Aug, 2015 @ 10:36am
To Mamba: The Difference between WS and Non-WS is ease of download to run and have users to download. To Run ws now, you have to to subscribe to it, have the ins download it, and then retrieve it from the ws directory, and then move it to the server. Personally after the last update of insurgency, I closed my WS svr... Did not seem worth the aggravation that I could only run one WS Server and all the rest on the box could not. INS set it up to where only one box can run a WS Server and all the rest cannot. If you run a 2nd WS Server it will crash all of the other WS servers on the same box.

It is easier to have a remote site with all of my files and all of my servers download the same way and I have more control over the updates... Also make note naming, many are going to _ws to indicate Work Shop, yours is listed as _b2_ and when you change to _b3_ the server will not download it, the mapcycle won't switch to it until the admin notices the change and then changes the Mapcycle file.
Mamba 28 Aug, 2015 @ 8:26am
@Arc: Ah, that makes sense...tx. I get the maps via Workshop, then unSub, then UL those to our server and FastDL site.

@BroQ: I'm ok with NVG maps but not my favorite and some of our players hate it. Maybe you can rename this version to "osama_b2_night_checkpoint" and release a separate lightened version. G4RY did that with "khanashin"; it's great having options...changes up the play style a bit.
Arc 28 Aug, 2015 @ 4:26am
@Mamba: WS is not working on Linux server (for now), current ISteamUGC workshop will force to download every mod/map the server have, all at once. Also not everybody is fan of Workshop as FastDL still have better reliability.

As for the map, i don't have problem with pitch dark places, i either switch to flashlight or use both of them. But i have custom server with custom theater and supply costs.
BroQ  [author] 27 Aug, 2015 @ 6:47pm
@Mamba I will lighten it up for sure. I was trying to go for realism on the NVGs cause the operation actually went underway with no moon. But if it effects gameplay, I will compromise. Thanks for the suggestions and I'm glad you enjoyed it.
BroQ  [author] 27 Aug, 2015 @ 6:42pm
@Sparkie951 Thank you for the suggestions! I love people like you who leave comments and want to see the map progress further. I'll do anything I can to keep you guys happy. That being said:
1) I will look into this! On my end, it only looked dark if I didn't have night vision goggles on. I will lighten it up in future updates and see if you guys perfer it.
2) As for the bots on Checkpoint A: My intentions for this point was to have it as a huge defensive objective. I wanted the bots to arrive a few seconds after the player so you would have time to set up as a team.
3) Actually, I have versions of this map on FPSBanana. :)

Mamba 27 Aug, 2015 @ 6:24pm
We played thru this one tonight. It works pretty well as is, just not a big fan of NVG so hopefully you can lighten it up a bit. Otherwise the play was great, good job!
Mamba 27 Aug, 2015 @ 12:48pm
To sparkie's points:
1) yes, I would prefer dusk lighting. The bots already have advantage given the openness
2) indifferent on this one
3) ?...what's the diff?
Sparkie951 27 Aug, 2015 @ 10:08am
Very nice map, but some recommendations.

1.) Too Dark even with Night Vison, needs a little more light
2.) Bots at "A" seem to spawn too far back an takes a long time to get in range in both normal attack and the counter.
3.) Please release a NON-Workshop version.

I can see a really good future for this map.
