You have to add more description about the function, friendslist and so on...

Without these informations, I wonder about chat in singleplayer-game.

Even I wont chat over your private server, so you have to add some informations.

You need to click somewhere on the Screen and click the 'ExtendedGDT Chat' option. Isn't it there?

It was introduced in 1.4 in ExtendedGDT and people wanted it back as optional because it was taking too much space in the menu.

There's a chat option when you click anywhere and it opens a chat, exclusive to ExtendedGDT users
