the projectile is super slow... like 1m second kind of slow for the non trashy one, same with the trashy one

Yes I know this wasn't updated after 2015.
Yes I know the author probably won't fix or remake this mod in any way.
Yes I know this is more or less a meme weapon...

But I'm going to ask anyway,
Perhaps an update to this would be nice... I mean, it's one of the few massive fixed cannon-type weapons around. Plus, I'm going to argue something here...

Range. Range is important on this kind of weapon as it's size makes it prime for long range strikes. Not to mention planetary strikes (Which is what I'd like it for the most) would be a really nice feature. Also, if a person adds this mod to their list, they understand the risk of 'out-of-range' weapons and exploiting. My argument is that there are new mods now that add much longer range weapons that go beyond 1.5km. I feel this mod would be an amazing refresher into much longer range combat which I really really like and want more of. I want km distance combat more than melee distance combat.

I know you dont wish to change the range however that being said most people will be using this in modded worlda which means ai targeting range could be as far as 10km. And if using mexpex players will have weapons capable of hitting up to 50kms range.

wait, you could change the distance but make it harder to make, like way harder.

Seconding request for a non-range limited version of the mod, as many other weapons mods have added range which makes it useless when used in conjunction. Nice work with these- also the title is great, lol.

Hey dude, i understand your reasoning for cutting the range short. but maybe upload another version which is impossible to make in survival, and has a huge range? i was hoping to make an orbital bombarder with this mod. Thanks

Cool, thanks. I've been considering the idea of attempting my own UNSC Frigate sometime and was hoping to be able to get one that could reach planets for bombardment. Right now I'm still in the process of re-scaling my old ground vehicle builds before I move on to ships again.

I just recently completed my full-scale Pelican and its capable of entering or leaving planets both iwth and without cargo or vehicles in tow. That includes a scaled heavy armor Scorpion Tank too.

With permission, would it be possible if I could do a minor variation of this? Its almost perfect aside from the range attribute, but the OP edition is a little too fast on its fire rate for realistic use. The range of the OP MAC plus the set damage and fire rate stats of this one here (maybe slower) would make it perfect for orbital support but slower to charge up for counterbalance.

A shame about the range. Seems entirely appropriate to be able to be used outside the range of conventional weapons. That's why you would have to send out fighters or out-manuever it. I don't know if something is wrong in my world but it definietely doesn't do much damage...

That would pretty much ruin this mod. This is a MAC, not some crazy weapon that only some people can have. If your idea were to happen it would have to be a separate mod.

or you can let the admins adjust the the weapon stats for there specific needs. maybe you can even make the weapon indestructable, make some sort of long range scopeing device that zooms way in & zooms way out. since the waepons design is long range maybe you can make tracer ammo, or seeker ammo that hunts down & automatacilly locks on to the target to increase the long range weapons acurracy & reduces the miss rate tremendosly. how bout the further the target is away the better the weapon accurracy is & the closer the target is the worse the weapon accuracy is you can probally even give this long ranged super weapon an AI. I really hope you can help server admins beef up there sever security systems that will protect there server mainframe core ingame becuase the admins wont all ways be online to protect or moniter the sever mainframe since the server is more then likely going to be on 24/7/365 days a year. but thats my idea on ADMIN SERVER SECURITY......

i have a suggestion or Idea, lets say your an admin & you want to set up a restricted zone or top secret area only for server system admins. lets say your building a server HQ thats runs & opperates every server station & security systems that uses camras to moniter really busy player hot spots, Like your server trade stations & economy system along with so many other really important server systems that help you run & control every thing that belongs to the server from 1 place. you dont just want any one to have full access to the server mainframe network. im hopeing you can make this weapon only useable by server admins with really high attack power to make sure noone that doesnt work for the server makes it any where near close in one piece and kills any one onsite thats not a server admin. maybe you can make the range super long to make sure your secret sever mainfraim location or cords can not be pinpointed exactly & the exact location remains a secret.

you should make the cannon super long rang and high damage but the MAC {magnetic acceleration cannon for those of you who dont know} tugsten rounds which is what halo macs do well the point is the ammo could be really expencive.

Just saying that if you wanted to be accurate to the Halo cannons, the stats are different. The Halo ones fire a shell at 30 km. per sec. This weapon should take a lot longer to reload as well. The actual Halo ones take a long time to recharge, and draw a lot of power (don't think that's possible for a weapon in Space Engineers). Also not sure about the amount of damge it causes, other than it's 64.53 kilotons. Not sure what that would be in Space Engineers.

These seem to deal just too little damage for my liking. Considering thier gigantic size, they should do more than just a small hole in heavy armor.

As a huge Halo fan, I am honored to partake in useing this amazing mod. I know as mentioned before you will not change the range on the weapon. However my only suggestions for work are on the sound considering if only it actually sounded like a MAC cannon and I find it awkward how close I get to an enemy In a UNSC frigate class size ship just to hit them. And considering the fact that mods like shields are out would cancel out the damage advantage. And being you have to aim it is a challenge in certain scenarios anyway. Just puuting my thoughts out there. Continue your hard work. People like you make this game awesome.

3.6-8.8k max weapon range when fireing manually, and 4x more damage and 2x blast radius. The OP version should also have an admin only copy so we admins can smite unruly players with it. May also need to make sure it is compatable with having the "telescope" mod on it, as that will help for longer range targeting. Also, is this weapon and its ammo compatible the ammo matterializer and ammo assembler? If not, I hope that it and the OP version will be so.

i love the style of this weapon but i have to agree with childofgod on one thing. the sound, with this in the front of my ship and my bridge near to the middle-rear i cant tell if i fired it or not from the report. if you could add something similar to the sound from the 1500mm cannon in a better arsenal this would be on every one of my super capitol ships

I agree, a nice range boost would be welcome :)
I notice in the game it goes about 850m max range but the mass driver mod that functions similar to this can go over 12km range...I don't think its said to do much damage yet but it clearly outshines the range aspect, so maybe this one should to 14-15km :)

the range on this thing is very disappointing. it really should be waaaay higher. i mean its capitol class weapon and its range is what i expect of civilian shuttle mounted rabbit pebble launcher.

Not sure if anyone else is having this issue but the MAC itself is completely black without color in DX11. hopefully this could be fixed soon, considering this is probably the coolest weapon on SE.

Hello, would it be possible to get this but either 1 wider, or 1 thinner (an even number of blocks wide?)

I've got a build I'd like to put this in, but its uh.... an even-wide build and it needs a giant mac cannon in its nose...
