Noted, a lot of the mods do seem to have that issue.
It's settled then, even if I have to start over from scratch then I'll make at least something of it.

Yikes this is still a thing? Aren't there better mods by far than this at this point with way bigger parts and scope?
Hell, if there's interest in it I can probably do something better just starting over.

Development has resumed, mod is on track for basically a complete overhaul, trying to figure out rotator thrusters, shrouds, and other new features.

Urgh there's some weirdness with the in-game geometry that means after many attempts I still haven't managed to connect the outer hull of my Monkeylord design to connect to the inner hull in more than one location, which makes it way more fragile than intended. I don't think it's the mod necessarily but it does mean I'm not ready to call it finished.

Uhh, how would one go around using the Quantum teleporter? and what exactly does the Sensor do? There's no accurate description on both items and I'm intrigued...

Okay, done done and done, reforged version is coming along slow but steady, currently got proton cannons in multiple sizes, even battleship size and planning on the megalith size. Bolters are more of a support weapon, and there's work on some devious rocket racks.

why isnt there colored blocks. Also, i would like 3 sizes of Proton cannon turrets, the proton rockets renamed Meson rockets. and the projectile size of the electron bolter to be smaller. otherwise, GREAT mod.

This mod needs rebalancing, with the starter ship i could wipe out most any enemy with just the right click.

By the way, I'm aware this mod exists, I'm heavily reworking it and may just release a new mod so those who have old worlds can use them.

Safe to say that there will be so much new stuff like
-angled thrusters to make omnidirectional thrust pods and creative designs
-missile launchers will be triangular instead of square to fit in with the other shapes
-custom shapes like long trapezoids and rhomboids to increase variety and decrease part counts
-auto repair beams will play a bigger role in ship construction(grow rate will decrease across all blocks except hull and special armor to encourage their use)
-Drones will be rebalanced and new types will be added (such as special drone racks that will automatically maintain a steady supply of repair or point defense drones in combat)
-Balance will be changed to be less shockingly overpowered (op shit will require some finesse to be used right)

Fun mod! :) I would support making the parts balanced but the ship spawns OP. At the moment, the drone and missle launchers seem too fast to regen and the point defence seems underpowered if anything. 50% collosion damage is a bit much; the thing that kills me the most is random bits of debris getting stuck it my ship.

For some reason I started as a station and had to regenerate the world to become a movable ship.

I've got a Mokeylord-inspired 8000p ship that I'd be happy to send you if you want it. Very enjoyable to fly round and blow stuff up with the micriwave lasers.

I might make the parts themselves balanced, but make the game spawn bigger fleets so it's more powerful as an adversary but not too boring to play as when you go in and blast apart 1000p ships with your starter.

Also probably going to keep redesigning the whole fleet, may or may not have a ship that takes it's name and function from a mythical beast known for its regenerative ability.

And, Yes, It is OP...
But ya'now, Its always good to have a couple OP factions in your mod loadout - Mostly because late-game, without these OP factions, You become unstoppable and the game becomes unplayable. Please KEEP it OP, But make a nerfed version for those who want it.

Okay so I am getting much progress on getting the mod balanced, might need to make changes that will break some stuff so fair warning to anyone. HOPEFULLY will have something to upload in a couple of days.

So, update... Over the next two weeks I'm going to completely reacclimate myself into modding for various games, this included. It will be a slow start but hopefully regular updates will come again.

First thing will be trim the occasional extra zero in the damage variables, good lord some of these weapons really are death rays.

While I like the variety of options you have access to, and the general idea behind this faction (and I'm a giant SupComm fan).
I gotta say that this faction is overpowered as all hell.
I can casually tear though 6000-7000p ships with a itty bitty lil 1760p shippie that has a boatloads of drones, a few lasers, tons upon tons of stacked shields and a teleporter.
Which seems a bit excessive for a ship of not even 2k p.

Admittedly if you crash full speed into a rock, you'll have messed up half your ship. But as for other ships, they'll never be able to hit you because you are A. too damn fast, and B. you probably have killed them by casually glancing their way.

So maybe a some moducim of balancing wouldn't go amiss?

is it strange that with a glass canon faction i made a ship that can take more damage than tanky factions like the sentinels? my ship can survive a nuke. and can destroy ships just as tough in about 10 seconds? yeah? WELL I CAN MAKE A STEEL GLASS CANNON IF I WANT TO!:steammocking:

I have a fleet with 20 ships that can each sustain 200 missile drones. Asteroids are collateral damage.

Uh, the missile drones are kinda broken...to be perfectly honest. The rate at which they can be produced and the strength of the missiles just makes the faction to easy to play.
Not to mention whenever I encounter them in a different save, I have a hard time getting through the sector.

Geathman707 its possible that the dev forgot to take a feature of the station command block that makes the command module deactivate instead of getting rekt by your power xD if you dive into the mod file called blocks.lua find the command module and look for "DEACTIVATES" under the features and remove it make sure you remove the "|" too or you'll get an error.Hope i helped!:steamhappy: Btw now its clear that this mod is based off the terran faction xD just saying.:steamsalty:

Great mod, only thing that bugs me is when I try destroying a station. The core tends to not want to get detroyed no matter how much I shoot at it
