The second one i found a little annoying. It's a good guide but a little bloated with text and you will have to read other players comments to find out a few things..
One of the problems with the second guide is the location you have to put the finished vtf file was not clearlyor wrongly stated.... A player posted that you had to place it in a folder called CUSTOM....
You will have to try which way works best for you...
