Mostly intended, but what you did differently is so small, its not really level breaking. The intended solution makes you use the companion cube to hold the button down for the other cube and you do all actions with the laser cube and the other cube, leaving the companion cube on that button as long as needed.

Good puzzle which took me longer than it should have done, mainly because I didn't pay attention to what happens in the exit area before and after I turned off the laser field. Anyway, that's my problem, not yours, thumbs up: intended solution ?

@lfairban: I have tried many times now, I can't reproduce what you did. The laser grid is up and running from the start killing me any way I try to flung accros and no other angle allows me to get past.
LPChip  [author] 9 Feb, 2020 @ 9:25am
I'll look into it.
lfairban 30 Jan, 2020 @ 11:30am
This map must have changed. I flung across and went out the exit without using much else.

@Josepezdj: first of, thanks. :) I'm glad you liked the map. The trick with the cube is meant to make you stop and look rather than just go and try stuff.

As for the competition itself, I completely forgot to put the competition into voting stage, so did that just now. Sorry... XD

Really nice map, LP!! Thumbs up of course! I found a bit tedious in the beginning when I destroyed my cubes by mistake >.<, but in the end I thought it was all the time my fault and I indeed liked the fact to be caring about not destroying them ;) I would have liked maybe a different ending :P like for example taking all cubes to the very end to actually use them, or to modify the final setup of the cubes, rather than just unhitting the laser catcher, but it was still nice to figure it out. .

Cheers!

Btw, when will the voting stage for this challenge start?
LPChip  [author] 28 Sep, 2015 @ 1:06pm
@stormsend: I salut you on your 2 clever endings. Both are indeed unintended solutions. I can't fix it due to this stupid bug so I'll accept them as solutions. See DeathWish's video for the actual solution. Its much simpler actually, but I like your fling a lot, and considered that it could be possible. :)

Here's that video. The glitch follows the first run. Keep watching after I exit. Delete if you like.
stormsend 27 Sep, 2015 @ 6:00pm
Great puzzle but I don't know the correct ending sequence. I finished it but it felt like a glitch so I went back in and finished it another way. It felt a little awkward too. No time for a video but I'll try later to make you one. Thanks for the fun.

Damn, that sucks about the level thing. But I'm still interested in the thing. I don't care if it's broken.

Maybe we can do a trade. I have an addon (made by Radelite) that gives you an Energy Pellet gun, a laser gun, and a Radio. They're glitchy (except the Radio), but the Energy Gun is pretty fun to use. What do you say?
LPChip  [author] 27 Sep, 2015 @ 1:34pm
I'm sorry, I cannot update the level without it creating a new one. Missing that jump is a one in a million. Making it larger will look bad, changing the trajectory might work but even then it can fail.

Also, currently, that object can be made larger and if you do that, it doesn't work at all. If you place it in the wrong orientation, it doesn't behave as expected, so pretty broken if you ask me. :P
Unowninator 27 Sep, 2015 @ 10:49am
Then again, how glitchy is it? It's nothing game breaking, right?

Also, can you please make the exit island slightly larger? After removing the laser grid & portaling the floor & angled panel, I just barely missed & fell into the goo.
Unowninator 27 Sep, 2015 @ 10:13am
Could you please release it anyway? I don't mind if it's buggy, in fact a lot of items on Bee 2 are bugged somehow.
LPChip  [author] 27 Sep, 2015 @ 10:10am
Thats the item I made for BEE. Yes I used hammer to create the item, but then made it soo that it works with beemod. :) But the item is buggy so that's why I haven't given it to be included.
Unowninator 27 Sep, 2015 @ 8:20am
How the hell did you get a sliding wall without hammer?! O_O I've been wanting that for a LOOOOONG time.
LPChip  [author] 27 Sep, 2015 @ 3:46am
Bee2 with tspen's additions and my own.
Unowninator 26 Sep, 2015 @ 11:27pm
Is this Hammer or Bee 2?
LPChip  [author] 26 Sep, 2015 @ 4:37am
Thanks jandlml. Glad you liked it.

A bit tricky and a lot of fun!! Thumbs up!! :p2cube:
LPChip  [author] 20 Sep, 2015 @ 4:12am
@DeathWish808: thanks. Glad you liked it, and thanks for the fav. :)
@IVO: there's nothing wrong with the puzzle, the main element is there, but I suppose its not in balance with the rest of the map. I got in a creation dip when making the map and didn't want to abandon the idea altogether, so I decided to build it more as an exploration map rather than a puzzle, while still keeping enough puzzle elements to keep it both interesting and complient with the rules for the compo.
@Jade BGE: Yes I did. :D I'm glad you like the map now that I fixed it. :) I always forget that if you rotate a portal, your trajectory drastically changes. Its not something I can use as puzzle element, because only the more skilled people will understand that, yet its something not easily thought of when you are countering breaking a map. XD
Jade BGE 19 Sep, 2015 @ 3:51pm
Well you fixed my little red wagon didn't you?
That was a terrific! Thanks for the fun map.

It's a nice map, the layout is cool and the P2LC challenge is fulfilled in an interesting way.

But there's something wrong with the puzzle. Maybe I wouldn't have been able to explain what it is if it weren't for Deamon Arisen's 'how to make great testchambers' video

So, imo this puzzle is lacking focus on a major test element(s) and focuses on minor test elements and connections instead. I think this is what leads to the lost feeling of satisfaction at the end that I had.
DeathWish808 19 Sep, 2015 @ 5:42am
Great job, dude! Nice looking and nice difficulty level makes for a fun map!
