Can you please tell me what the BBSE class stands for?

Great mod. I don't know how reallistic it is compared to the real car but it's very nice to drive.

thanks for updating all your mods

thanks for this mod. I just tested it and the car drives great but there is a very loud transmission noise that makes it hard to hear the engine. Especially with other cars around I don't hear any engines.

Great job,congratulations.

Nice, but I think we need trainy sounds on exterior views, don´t you think?

the mod comes from the original rF1 WTCC mod of several years ago and the physics + performances where exactly how they were at that time and developed by the original author together WTCC teams and drivers. I updated the mod to rF2 improving what the new rF2 code allows without altering the performances.
About the WTCR class I added as fantasy class (because the BMW is no longer racing that class), I balanced (BOP) the performances on the current performances of the real WTCR classes

First thank you for the car, it looks very cool and got already a lot of options.
However, I still have some difficulties with the mod:
I wonder about the top speed? If I set up 100% power and adjust the gears, so that I don't get in the limiter, I get a max of ~250km/h.
For my understanding, the power should easily be enough for beyond 300km/h on long straight roads?
Also it seems to me, that the acceleration is remarkable below reality. The car is already quite slow accelerating towards 200km/h, what in real world shouldn't be a problem at all in a WTC?

Did I miss some setting to really enable full power?

Hi Marco! Great mod but don't like the sounds...It seems Formula E to my hears...Am I wrong?
dreamer_al_59 8 Oct, 2018 @ 9:13pm
Thank you for update. I just love this mod!! :)

no idea at all about tires... we tested VTCR class of the mod at Monza, 263 km without problems... I need more detailed info about class and test only with default settings at first, then same but changing setup and reporting...

Tire will blow out when driving above 250 kmph, crashing the game

Wonderful upgrade. Drives like a dream.

Have the physics been updated on this car yet?
marcobost  [author] 4 Jun, 2017 @ 11:40am
thank you

Glad to hear your still working on your mods for DX11 marco, your E90 BMW mod was and is still my favorite mod to drive in rfactor 2. Just drove today and had a heck of an ai race at Oulton Park.

These cars are a blast thanks so much!!!
marcobost  [author] 27 May, 2017 @ 12:30am
I'm already updating all my mods to DX11... This one is very old and also the physics needs to be updated to the current rF2 status. So, be patient! Thank you

Quote ISR forums:

"Hi friends,

we had a lot of fun in the past with these cars i remembered, so i tried them on dx11 and skins are not working really there. No shine at all.
Asked in 397 Forum and Dischord for help and the told me like that:

Looks like the cars are using the wrong shader really

Can you change the shader or contact the modder? Make sure the car uses the new body shader

Modmaker slowmotion wasnt online there since 2016

In that case try to import it into blender, select the body material and just select the new body shader, then re-export.
3dsimed works too I believe. Takes a while to figure out but there's nothing else you can do

Can somebody do this and check it out or knows Slowmotion to ask himself ?"

Offline.

There is some workshop item to fix a problem in pace car / safety car (unrelated to this) but I haven't tested that yet (it was added recently).

Interesting how safety car mod could interfere with mirrors in unrelated mod..
marcobost  [author] 19 Nov, 2015 @ 2:43am
uhmmm I can't help you... if mirrors work driving other tracks it could be a track issue. Other thing could be online vs offline: did you notice the issue online or offline?

Correction: no, depends on track it seems. Doesn't work in Suzuka 2008
kazereal 18 Nov, 2015 @ 11:15am
Seems to be working now for some reason.
kazereal 18 Nov, 2015 @ 11:00am
That is odd..
marcobost  [author] 18 Nov, 2015 @ 10:30am
I released the mod time and time ago and it works fine since its first release... it was the most used mod for rFactor2 for the first year by the date of the first version I released on April 2014 and then were released also special versions for championships. As I said, I have no idea because you haven't mirrors working, but you are the first person worldwide to notify this.
kazereal 17 Nov, 2015 @ 8:58pm
Have you included "mirror.bmp" (or what was it called) the way it used to be in rFactor 1?
If you have that somewhere on your drive but not in the mod package that might be the reason..
marcobost  [author] 17 Nov, 2015 @ 6:53am
No idea at all about mirrors: they work perfectly as you can see in the screenshot I added to the mod. Maybe you have some low setting and/or no mirrors activated for the view... But it is weird because of you have the mirrors working with other mods.
kazereal 16 Nov, 2015 @ 7:02pm
Mirrors are not working for some reason, they do work in other cars (like Brabham BT20).
H3lium 16 Nov, 2015 @ 3:44am
My favorite rF2 car atm. Top notch.

Upshifting without lifting the throttle seems to unsettle the car a little bit. Seems weird since the E90 WTCC has automatic ignition cut off when touching the gear lever but I never drove the real thing. Maybe the ignition cut off is very aggressive and the mod is spot on. Nonetheless it is great fun.
JPL77 15 Nov, 2015 @ 6:57pm
Nice!!
marcobost  [author] 14 Nov, 2015 @ 1:18am
Ops, yes kazereal, LOL!
kazereal 13 Nov, 2015 @ 5:17pm
".. championships 1986 to 1988" - you mean 2006 to 2008..
