Thanks. There is a Kestrel II also.
Really pleased with this mission. Enjoyed it. I'll certainly download your mission nr. 2.
the difficulty is just right and the scripts are well tested.
A Mission I am going to play again.
Thanks.
I'll try to make another CAS mission.
in addition to what I said, it was quite a nice mission, not very hard though.
Maybe you can add another Ifrit or an APC or IFV?
Plus, the Ifrit doesn't shoot at us, it's a GMG, isn't it?
You can change it to HMG, so that it can shoot at the chopper and bring more challenge.
Nice work anyway :)
Thanks for the comment. I am glad you got some fun.
- For the intro, if it is the end of the last line, it ends with 'blue smoke...' and it is normal. I didn't want to have the full briefing spoken, just an invitation to read it. Furthermore, I do not have any control on the position of the text.
- player in the air. Yes I agree. Design choice. I feel the heli should come from a ship and I didn't want any mod. So I've decided for the air.
- stupid dialog, yeapp also, made me smile each time. In fact it was there to test call sign replacement and once a program is fully tested the rule is 'DO NOT MAKE A LAST MINUTE CHANGE BEFORE THE DEMO', so it stayed. But this is really minor.
Thanks
A few things however:
- during the intro, the text is too much on the right of the screen, we can't read the end of the line.
- you shouldn't put the player directly in the air, but make it begin at the base and mount his chopper
- the first dialog between the player and the copilote is a little stupid (sorry): it's a crew, they normally know each other, they don't work together for the first time (and the word "honoured" is too strong IMHO). Plus, they would have had this discussion before boarding the chopper, not in the air.
IMHO, either you keep the dialog and have the mission begin on the ground, near a chopper OR you keep the chopper in the air for the beginning but you skip the dialog.
