It looks nice but the fizzle wall really negatively affect my gaming experience.

Sick one! Thanks for your work.

Awesome map with some neat ideas and beautiful visuals. That last move took me a while to see, very clever. The only thing I didn't like all that much was how that catapult just launches you into the laser field, which just results in an unexpected death. Besides that however, I really enjoyed this map - thumbs up and favorited.

excellent map. took me 2 days to figure this one out. i like the custom texture but i had trouble seeing through the fizzle walls

Got unexpectedly launched into lasers in the first 60 seconds. Yay.

Brilliant map. I managed all of it up until the end where I got stuck. Eventually gave up and looked at your walkthrough :steamfacepalm: - bu**er, I was soooo close, but that's my fault no yours
Instantiation 21 Aug, 2016 @ 9:45pm
Why did that take me so long? : )

Satisfying to sort out, though.

Loved the music.

The whole visual aesthetic was striking.

nvm found the intended solution PS you can increase the map difficulty by adding 2 buttons at the end PS nice puzzel love the idea :) behind it

a question does the solution contains portal balancement with the laser?
Aleskei 4 Feb, 2016 @ 11:41pm
It's really beautiful this decoration, but how did you manage to style the texture of what connection it does not exist how you had done you are a real pro to hammer. However, I made some easy masp or complicate too.
dire.fcs 28 Nov, 2015 @ 9:49pm
Another excellent custom visuals map with a great puzzle on it ; first time I made to the exit the cube was missing, so it brought more interest to the puzzle because there was a couple of areas not used, and it was bugging me...; so really great map: I think it's medium difficulty since there are no hard maneuvers or very difficult logical thinking in here.
Turmoil 24 Nov, 2015 @ 2:54pm
I did a speed and least portal run of your map. I forgot to share it here so I'll do that now.

As you have probably seen, i havent been playing Portal much, or even mapping, going through one of those phases which is lasting longer than any of the other times. As a result of this im pretty rusty at puzzle solving. But i did manage to figure out all of the puzzle elements except for the last manouvere, had to look at your video, really liked that solution. Excllent mapping and visuals as usual. Only one small downside, personally i dont like music constantly playing, turned music off in options, but it still played, had to play the level with the volume down.

Gorgeous test! Too hard for me :P
Nalkahn 29 Oct, 2015 @ 4:02am
As always excellent map ! I solve it faster than the others, but the idea is original and brillant :p2cube: ps : if my last release, Xchange SM, inspire you, feel free to hammer the chamber ;)
Octahedron 11 Oct, 2015 @ 4:20pm
Got it, thanks for the fix. Now back to the map.
1. The first bit with the funnel took me WAAAAAAYYYYY to long to get.
2. The puzzle design is awesome as always
3. The music sounds like the track from Oxygen Station but don't take it personal cause I still liked it.
4. That picture of the temple you posted got me so hyped the other day, keep up the good work!
TS_Mind_Swept 10 Oct, 2015 @ 10:37pm
I pretty much agree with stormsend, quite laggy though.

I did record it, as you requested, but it took ages to get almost to the end, and then i was just done with it, so enjoy watching me deteriorate through the almost 2 hours of video that i have. Part 1 and Part 2

Sorry for commenting this late. I was [bzzzt] Enough explaining - This test is great!

Visually it's amazing with its new textures, water, skybox and everything. Here's a nitpick: Having an area where you can point a laser at the skybox isn't verry good and you know why.

The layout is pretty good. It helped me look and go where I had to and I knew where each item is. The water scrolling "jump" is something that I should've told you about when I played this map for the first time but I see you've fixed it. :)
| \_/ () 10 Oct, 2015 @ 9:09am
The test fits the competition perfectly! I like that the player can go to each of the 4 areas whenever they want (unlike most entries).

Finally - the puzzle. It got me thinking after every step and it felt very satisfying. Even after several weeks I still couldn't play it from start to finish without stopping to think things through. Launching myself with the faith plate didn't always end well (and I'd probably put the laser field closer to the first fizzler) but it wasn't a big problem. Thumbs up!

Hey dude. I just wanted to let you know that your maps are really hard. Hard enough that you might need to watch a walkthrough.

But in a good way.

They're challenging and large, and actually make you want to watch a walkthrough, again in a good way. It doesn't make you feel like the map creator is trying to make a map stupidly hard, but rather to make it feel like you actually completed something, even with a walkthrough.
josepezdj  [author] 5 Oct, 2015 @ 1:14pm
@bonkrood: thank you for such nice comments man <3 And thanks for keeping on trying! I guess that after you sleep a bit on it you'll eventually figure the solution out ;) Let me know if you want some hint ;)

Cheers!
josepezdj  [author] 5 Oct, 2015 @ 1:10pm
@camerson1313: thanks for the nice comments mate! :D And very good find that exploit! I'll fix it after the competition time is over by reducing the white floor a bit until it isn't near the grate ;) Cheers!

@p0rtalmaster: Hehe, good ear my friend! I indeed took some cool instruments from those tracks because I thought I could get much more from them, and because I thought they'd fit for a sort of lullaby... and I do like the final result.
bonkrood 4 Oct, 2015 @ 11:41am
Beautiful details in this map & great sound, hard enough that my brain hurts, great fun playing, still working on finishing it and this map makes me want to keep trying without using the walk throughs. One day...... :)
The Sojourner 3 Oct, 2015 @ 6:35pm
So, I've noticed that you've been after player's little exploits. I highly doubt that I found any; just overall enjoyment. The music reminded me a lot of that of your Oxygen Station, instruments and all :p2cube:
camerson1313 2 Oct, 2015 @ 10:46pm
Yet another cool chamber with unique atmosphere and challenging puzzle. I did solve it the intended way, but also found a weird exploit:

@Chubbyninja89 (Irish Brony) and Stormsend: wow guys, thanks a lot for such nice and cheering words <3 I spend the time in decorating my chambers due to they're usually medium-high difficulty level, and this way I guess it's more bearable to be there inside walking around and thinking ;) It's nice to hear that the chamber made you guys stay for a while more after dying or spending some time in solving it without success. Thanks for commenting, really :D

Cheers!
stormsend 29 Sep, 2015 @ 11:50am
I hesitated to comment but then I thought you should know. I played for about an hour. Got to the end but couldn't figure out the last move. No rage or anything cause it's just another map that beat me. I did enjoy playing and the ambience was the main reason. Beautiful chamber and cool soundtrack. Great job and a thumbs up. Looking for more.
chubbyninja89 (TNB) 29 Sep, 2015 @ 9:25am
This is a really nice map. Not only in how it looks, but how you do it. I don't feel like you're forcing me to watch a walkthrough, it's that hard. No, but it's fun to play. Kinda makes you feel when you die or fail "darn it, guess i'll try again" rather than raging toward the map and its maker.

And also i think the music and way the map looks also help make it more fun. It doesn't just feel like you are just doing a standard boring test. I hope you make more maps like this.

Really good job. ^____^

@Gemarakup: Thanks for playing man!! Hehe... I only know a few hebrew words from TreasureGhost, but I can't understand your language much, sorry :P Thanks for your nice comments... thanks for trying to solve it! Cheers!

@amitbarshay: Hey man! Well, it was TreasureGhost, one Steam friend, who said "laila tov" one day while chatting on Steam when we were about to say bye and "goodnight". I thought it was a really nice sentence (Laila is an English personal female name that I really like...) so I decided I would make my new map around a beautiful night theme with a nice lullaby song and such ;)

@Prototype: Thanks for the blind playthrough mate! Very interesting! I took note of some of your zooms! ;) Also I really liked the video and to see that you found the intended solution! I much appreciated you took the time to record a blind walkthrough! Cheers!
josepezdj  [author] 28 Sep, 2015 @ 8:06am
@grossedout5: Hey my old friend!! Nice to see you around every once in a while!!! :D Hmmm.... that issue in the water reflections is a very old one. It gets fixed after you set the "Shader Detail" to Very High at your Advanced Graphics settings... try it. Nonetheless, the water should be ready for whatever settings. After taking a closer look to the water code I think I can improve it. I'll ship a new water material in the next update! Cheers!

@Camßεn: Thanks for such a wonderful bunch of nice comments my friend! I can only cheer you up to check some portion of the solution video poste above to get unstuck and try to continue yourself from there. Anyways, thanks a lot for taking the time to test it and commenting! :D
josepezdj  [author] 28 Sep, 2015 @ 8:00am
@ami: Cheers woman!! Thanks for playing and commenting! Be sure I'll check out your new map! I have some of your latest ones in my queue to test them! it's just that lately I sadly only spend 1 hour (as much) in front of my computer :/

@DW808: hehe, cheers mate! You nailed the solution down really easily! ;) Glad you liked it overall... Maybe this time I wanted something less convoluted, just a tiny logical puzzle mostly for average players than for experienced ones. Next time I'll be bad, I promise :D Regarding those issues, it's not at my end but the game's, once you restart Portal the custom content is back... weird but very common ;)
josepezdj  [author] 28 Sep, 2015 @ 7:54am
(...continued...) however, I am checking the players' comments on the solution, and even though there are some who complain abut difficulty, most of them seem to solve it in a relative short time... I'm glad to see how some of you are taking "more than it should" take you :D

josepezdj  [author] 28 Sep, 2015 @ 7:52am
@Polux: wow man... epic delay in replying to a post!!! :/ I'm very happy that you found the map cool and you liked the atmosphere! <3 I thought an open map with such a goo pond should have loads of vegetation and I started to put some foliage props around. Then I realized how cool it looked like after putting even more... and so I ended up placing that lot of plants around the goo! :D I also like the final product and I'm happy that ppl is liking as well.

Regarding the "final trick", well, I thought it was a cool mechanic and I started to build the map around that first idea... That along with my obsession about symmetry led me to this final layout, which eventually made the puzzle a bit harder. I can't see the map how the rest of players can do or to have an objective opinion about the final key move, since I knew it from the very beginning :p

(...continues...)

@kwinten: Gracias por tus palabras Quentin!! :D Me alegro de que te haya gustado el mapa y que casi lo terminaras tú solo!

@P0laxis_Zega: Thanks man! I'm happy that you liked the theme! :D There's an official walkthrough. You can check the video above, beside the screenshots ;)

@ bluemime86: Thanks for commenting dude! I'm glad that you tried hard to solve it... There's a solution video available to help you out to pass through the point where you're stuck. Cheers!

Hey josepezdj, how did you came up with this name?
Gemarakup 26 Sep, 2015 @ 10:51pm
Boker Tov. Well, as usual with these maps, I get close to the solution until it involves some kind of trick I can't think of using. Really nice map.

(Tov, az caragil im hamapot haele, ani mitkarev lapitaron ad she ze meshalev sug shel technica sheani lo yachol lachshov lehishtamesh bo. Mapa mamash yafa).
Valla-Challa 26 Sep, 2015 @ 7:02pm
the map looks excellent and is very well detailed, and quite the eye candy. as per usual i cannot for the life of me figure out how to even start.
Octahedron 26 Sep, 2015 @ 11:00am
Is there a fix to the water being all glitchy yet? because it hurts my eyes to look at the water due to the fact that it is all one big graphical blur
DeathWish808 26 Sep, 2015 @ 8:36am
Fantastic looking map, but has to be the easiest one I think I've ever played of yours. It was very linear compared to what it looks like. I thought it was going to be more of a trick the fizzlers kind of thing. Maybe I skipped something?

Part 1: https://youtu.be/mw4rf1BnFEY Had issues.

Part 2: https://youtu.be/c7nNlOZvOJs Issues fixed.
ami 25 Sep, 2015 @ 9:16pm
the jump face die,is very cool.welcome play my map with you have time rest.
bluemime86 25 Sep, 2015 @ 4:31pm
the map is very cool. I love the music. The only problem is that i cant seem to be able to solve the puzzle. I tried for too long, well, its game over for this puzzle. I cant spend the whole time trying to figure this out
GAMESweetG 24 Sep, 2015 @ 10:48pm
Is there actually a solution to the map because I'm finding the fizzlers are too many in certain areas/ I do like the environment theme though.
kwinten 24 Sep, 2015 @ 2:11pm
Hola Jose !
Este puzle es difficil :o he utilisado la solucion a la media del puzzle :p El visual es impresionado, continua como este ;)
josepezdj  [author] 24 Sep, 2015 @ 9:48am
@P0laxis_Zega: Hey! Thanks for commenting mate! Well, about the water reflections, they are directly related to your graphics settings. In order to see everything as you can check in the screenshots above, you should put the "Shader Detail" option at "Very High" in the "Advanced Settings" tab in Portal2 ;)
