Is it even possible to run these larger map sizes, or is the game engine simply not capable of handling them? Sometimes I get a CTD while a new game is starting, other times I get a CTD when I first try to save it, but I never got beyond that point.

Unfortunately the game crashes each time, when i try to create titanic world have enabled underground level. Is that solution how to fix it or just i have to swap to lesser setup? i have strong pc so i doubt, my hardware would be a cause of.

Question: Do modifications to starting resources and skills effect all players or just human players? In this mod or not modded? I haven't found the answer to this elsewhere

Everything is good, but the size is larger than Huge with 8 players, average settings for settling the map, dungeons, and mods with units and mechanics - CTD and it's not about the computer hardware, its game engine which 4 gb lock

I get a buffer getting to large error whenever I launch with this mod then the game crashes. Does anyone else have similar issues?

Those settings are only for Randomly Generated Maps so you can access only there, not in the campaign or in scenarios, if that's your question. Otherwise I don't really get it.

The one and only reason I'm typing out all this is, a few friends got AoW3 during the free weekend same as myself, but they had much less patience and 2 actually *REMOVED* the "free" game from their library because they simply hated the camera THAT much.

As someone who knows nothing about AoW franchise as a whole, I doubt that the camera controls and/or rigging can be altered in this game, but I figured I would at least ask if you "think it's possible", and if you were to give an answer such as "I think you can, but I won't" then I would go into the mod tools myself and at least attempt to make the change despite having a rather high chance of breaking my install due to my terrible habit of not making backups

As I'm new to AoW, this mod is helping me to become accustomed to how empire building and unit training functions, with the various options for income and unit expense, etc, but it does miss one thing, that I as a total noob to PC Only RTS games have been looking for.

To explain, after searching through the workshop for a while I can't find anything that alters the camera rigging.
What I mean is, the camera moves as if it's first person view, which for the 'low to ground' camera is perfectly fine, but for the higher "birds eye" angles I find myself looking away from battle when all I' want to do is rotate the camera around what I'm looking at, as would happen in any third-person game or "consoleized" RTS games like Halo Wars that rotate camera around whatever is center screen.

You mean observer mode where the camera follows units during enemy turns? Just press O.

I'd like it if we could disable the "camera follow", which is super annoying with bigger games. Plus it gives me a terrible headache.

A rather interesting suggestion! While adding it as an option is not possible, making a standalone mod for such should be possible. It has been a while since I have made mods for Age of Wonders III, so I am a bit rusty in that regard.

As far as I know, it's not possible to increase the max number of players. It might be possible if someone is really good at dissecting the game.

Is it possible to get a mod that lets you set up more than the max of 8 players? Playing on the Titanic map size, I'd love to have 20 players or so.

@RebornSamurai190 I have i-5 4690k, 16gb ram and Gtx 960. If i select make Colossal i have 40% to get crash before... if i select Gigantic i get 100% before generation. The game keeps giving me this - assertion failed pnewcapacity < 1024*1024 what i should do?

One other mod did this for research, by making the reasearch cost 9999900% normal rate. It isn't exactly "no growth", but for all intents and purposes it really is, because no game lasts long enough to research anything. In that mod, the only exception is "basic seafaring", which you can research instantly.
