Why not do more of the Heptarchy as a bonus?

Kent

King Æthelberht

'Bretwalda', as a city-state bonus?
'Invicta', perhaps a bonus on defence?

I expect they should have unique religious buildings or wonders, perhaps 'Canterbury Cathedral'?

This one was a nice, solid civ. I chose to play it mostly as a tall civ that just declared war on far-away enemies to get the boosts from golden ages, but they would also play well as a domination-focused civ. The UA is fairly straightforward, and pretty useful. I did notice though that I only got the golden ages when I was the one who declared war, and not when another civ declared war on me. The UB is great, and I realized that even though faith wasn't showing on pastures, when I went into city view I could see that it was being added to the city's faith total. Was only getting one faith from each pasture though, not two. Fyrd was nice as well, and would be really beneficial for those who choose to play this civ as a domination-focused one. Overall, nice civ.

Nice Mod - enjoying it. However, there is a bug I've run into twice where Golden Ages are extended for unrealistic amount of time. I currently have 114 turns of Golden Age.

Sound isn't working.

Enjoyed this very much. A couple of bugs showed up. The Events and Decisions button for Call the Wizengamot would not work. It would turn green and move up to the enactable portion when I was qualified, but when I would click on it nothing would happen. This bug was present for the entire game. All of the other Decisions worked. The second bug was about the Minster. Faith never showed up on pastures, both in the capital and in other cities where it was built. The only mods loaded were this mod, Events and Decisions and Historical Religions.

Reminds me of the Jack Whyte and the Skystone books

@meta ad infinitum there is a wessex one already, under Alfred the Great by JFD (excellent civ), If by canterbury you mean KIngdom of East Kent, no-one to my knowledge has yet to work on that yet.

As someone who's really interested in Dark Age history, I was glad to see this. I'm wondering though if you'd be interested/willing to flesh out a few other Old English Kingdoms; Wessex and Canterbury at least (if you don't try your own take on Northumbria).

No coconuts to be found here.

I thought it said " 'Merica " for a second.
Rex Bellator 30 Sep, 2015 @ 6:04pm
All you need now is Arthur, King of the Britons - then add a Coconut Resource - with a UA of +1 movement for all troops with access to coconuts.

@CosmicCommander: there already is a Northumbria mod, search the workshop for it
blackarmyjacket 29 Sep, 2015 @ 6:45pm
i want to see like a fascist england civ in ww2-based. like the leader be oswald mosley and uu blackshirts. THAT would be AWESOME.
Bedlam_Bert 29 Sep, 2015 @ 4:15pm
boom credit yo. glad this got released!
Cosmic 29 Sep, 2015 @ 3:55pm
Are you going to also do a Northumbria and East Anglia Civ? Not just because I'm from the former myself, but also because I'd like to do a game with the Kingdoms of the Heptarchy set on a British Isles map.
Sargent Crone 28 Sep, 2015 @ 6:34pm
blah. its pretty cool

its decisions did not disply. Maybe there is a conflic between mods. I enacted all JFD, TOM, MC, Tarm's new civs
ianandsue5 26 Sep, 2015 @ 9:46am
It'll be interesting to see JDF's UK [my Nation] Mod when it is ready since he is pretty much the Grand Master of Civilization V Mods. I think somebody should do a Mod of Wales led by Owain Glyndwr. I'd also like to see Modern Sudan and Angola one Day too. In the mean time, I shall request from somebody an answer to the following question: why, oh why, when I go onto ModBuddy, does it sy, "Content Load Error. System.Windows.Markup.XamlParseException loading "c:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sid Meire's Civilization V SDK\ModBuddy\StartPage\StartPage.xaml":
Tranquil J. Silence Esq. 26 Sep, 2015 @ 8:12am
@ianandsue5 Most likely it'll be the same base civs (Ireland, the Iceni, Cornwall, Wales and the Picts - unless they end up adding the celtic civs they picked up off of GE) but they'll probably all be different to some degree from Hiram's designs (such as the Picts most likely being lead by Viregel's Oengus I). This said the Celtic split is probably a long way off - seems like More Civs have an awful lot on their plates atm ;__;
Pouakai  [author] 26 Sep, 2015 @ 3:16am
Viregel decided he'd had enough of modding, and instead of seeing his civs go to waste he decided to give them to others instead.
Pouakai  [author] 26 Sep, 2015 @ 2:28am
JFD took the UK, Kalmar Union and Romania, while Tarcisio took Germany and then demanded Austria-Hungary. I'm left with the rest of them, some of which will be incorporated with other projects (such as the Picts and the Celtic Split, which formerly belonged to Hiram)
Dray 26 Sep, 2015 @ 12:29am
I'm sad to see the Greater Europe project closed down, is there a list of which modders are taking over which civs? I know JFD is working on a revised Kalmar Union, and I imagine he'll be uploading the defunct WWI civs for his pack - can you shed some more light on the situation?
