Maybe, as Dynamic Entity Replacer basically uses a standalone implementation of this mod. Depending on how the creator of DER implemented highlights, there may be conflicts.
I hope you will make a version where we can adjust the color of a specific entity. I will try to do it because on Garry's mod everything is possible !!
You can change the color of exisiting highlights, but you can't adjust the color of a specific entity.
This addon is for all intents and purposes discontinued and is very unlikely to receive updates in the future, sorry.

It creates a highlight for entities flaged as "spawnable".
Unfortunately, this addon does not support blacklisting entities, so I'm afraid there is no way around this.

Otherwise I love this mod, hard to play with the incompatability though.
While the addon itself is working client-side, settings etc. are derived from the server.
Does this issue occur across all gamemodes?
Can you check the addon's settings, like detection range, etc.?
What's happening if the addons not working, like not displaying the Highlights?
