It's in there...The Paint Gun item only works in Aperture Tag.

That's been in the BEE2.4 for ages. Just don't connect them to anything, and they'll switch to those versions.

Really excited for this item! Works perfectly, if a little slowly. Visual polish is impressive, especially as far as BEEMOD items go haha

Will it be possible to make them not automatically bounce back to their initial position (like vanilla rail platforms?) I noticed that the one connected to the pedestal button went to the end and began to return back to the start

It's not a puzzle - it's a demo for a new editor item in the BEE2.4.

What you were trying to achieve was good, just with a few errors. You can very easily bi-pass the platforms by shooting a portal above the door and then one on the wall near the cube, bi-passing the entire chamber. May want to fix that. I would also recomend more work, as even without the bi-pass, its not much of a 'puzzle.'
