This would suit an ejection system, or maybe a missile battery, as well as an emergency all-stop/avoidance capability. :selike:

Lemme add my voice to RazersEdge.
A small hydrogen thruster with MASSIVE output, and terrible fuel efficiency would be great for an emergency booster.
This thing is just too huge for that purpose.

If I could make a mod sugestion, one booster I was hoping to find but couldn't is an instant boost for an ejection system, like you find in most modern military craft that blow out the canopy and then thrust the pilot seat out to safety. I would love to see or find a mod that adds tiny boosters that shot a powerful burst, for the purpose of ejection systems.

Look Great In the interior of an Engine room asd well. Only 2 bugs i have found so far. 1 puting a sliding door on the wider suface of the thruster causes the whole large grid to flip out. 2 there are points around the thruster were its airtight and some others that are not. I just encased the thusters in armour anyways and leave them naked in the engine rooms n such were it looks amazing with an industrial theme

These are perfect Engines for very Large ships. If I can offer my opinion these are better off just being large industrial thrusters u would put on a humungous flag ship wich I have already done and it alows for even better frame rates because u dont have 100 thrusters to manouver the thing so your not downing in particle effects for just engines on a ship alone. Great mod here. These are essentially suoer indutrial ion mega thrusters IMO.

I agree. It should take damage as it is used and need repairs. maybe 15 seconds before it burns out and a anti-grav emergency thruster block that can only be turned on then it gives 45 seconds of thrust (to escape or exit atmosphere) but cannot be deactivated and must be repaired before reuse.

For the planetary thruster instead of having a high power consumption simply make a huge combustible resource cost because it should seem as if it is a single use solid fuel thruster.

Doesn't seem 'Emergency' enough.

I'd suggest an even smaller, lighter, cheaper version with an even higher fuel consumption.
That possibly burns out as it's used.

@black.bravo.charlie that is something you will want to work out on your own using other blocks. I do not believe there is a detachment functionality currently built into the game.

great mod by the way, a few times too powerfull i over built with my batteries like i normally do to over componstae for the deficiencies of the normal power blocks and ended up desintagrating my ship drone cause it had way more manuvering prowess than i expected and blew its self up

As others have said, a hydrogen based version of this, preferably with a matching tank, would be most awesome. Something that could be tacked onto cap ships as a self contained unit, so when spent, it could be decoupled via connectors.

I've been reading a book called Star Carrier and they have these singularity drives. You should come up with something relatively small, massive power consumption with massive acceleration. Hell if you could develop a new type of power generator, you could call it singularity power tap or quantum tap or something required just for those drives, oh man baby! using the gravitational forces from tiny black holes to pull your ship in any direction, love it!

Damn, i imagine a scene from one of the Halo books iirc, when Cpt. Keys invented the so called "Keyes Maneuver". He is starting chemical emergency rockets to raise up his cruiser to evade enemy fire. I need you bossters, and i need them now, for the "Pandora Maneuver".

Now if only it was possible for them to be modded to charge. That way you can keep them on all the time, and when you use them they boost for a short but powerful period of time before needing to recharge.

I think these would fit nicely as separable take-off engines for super-large ships built on planet surfaces, much like the engines used by the Pillar of Autumn on Halo Reach's last level

Sektan love the idea behind this mod and being compact but vrses your line of thruster designs power consuption is a bit over the top vrses output considering Cratos outputs nearly 234.2 mn of thrust and only needs 2gw power. (in game stat) the emergency booster (large) only outputs 69.2 MN but needs 1.6 GW. Though I understand if this was the requested stats for it, just thought id toss out the query.

Nice model and yeah makes me think of halo too,

I was wondering with the rumors of atmospheric thrusters in the files and links to hydrogen fuel being used for them, would this mod perhaps be alterd in the future so this thruster would be atmospheric once they are added to game?

I think this would serve better as a some kind of launch booster. that said from what ive seen of planets you dont realy need much thrust to keep a ship hovering on planets.

With what we've seen in the Teasers, we don't need these. But I really hope we will! And especially that you'll have the opportunity to retrofit them with fuel consumption.

you know ... gravity goes less affected mass. blue ships = only 8 little thruster is enought to fly
