I haven't seen any "explosions" in racial tension nor sexual assault in the countries with the highest influx of refugees. Mod seems realistic to me.

This Mod is imbalanced in favor of accepting the invasion. Welcoming Syrian "refugees" is too much of a boon. Doing so should explode Racial Tension. I also agree Ghetsis. If you go too far into bringing as many in as possible, it should trigger a "rape crisis" or other explosion in crime.

That said, balance is very important, because neither Policy should be OP or unrealistic. I also reiterate my old claims that Patriots and Conservatives should not oppose humanitarian aid. Rather, they should only be outraged at allowing the Syrians to invade.

How on earth does welcoming Syrian refugees decrease racial tension?

I have a question who long must i invade syria to end the crisis.

At the moment i startet an invasion helping the regime and additionaly sending human aid to the neighborring countrys. but all in all the crisis lvl stays the same.

refugee crisis - aka, the gateway for organized terrorism which is supported and impemented by western governments, to be able to spead fear among the population, in order to justify total surveillance, and enfore a police state that fully controlls people.

ha I already had a refugee crisis event in the base game while playing germany, however I already clamped down on immigration and crime so hard there was no minorities left.

I played as the Germany, and after that as the United States and allowed the Syrians into my country, and both times invaded Syria on behalf of the rebels.

The problem of mods not dowloading is a known issue of steam workshop. All I can suggest is disabling and re-enabling them from inside the game, if you have already done that try unsubscring and resubscribing.

Also regarding ISIS, you don't have to intervine on their behalf, but you do things to try to stop them. And regarding the Government, sure they might be using inhumane means, but it wouldn't increase the crisis as plenty of Middle-Eastern Countries have inhumane regimes, like Saudi-Arabia. The reason for the migrant crisis is the war that's going on, but if you helped the government you would help end the war. I'm not personally supporting the government (I'm not sure I support anyone in the war to be honest), but I'm just pointing out somethings I find to be slightly flawed.

I agree with TurtleShroom. Patriots and Conservatives oppose bringing the refugees to their own country. Conservatives oppose it because it would happen too fast and not slowly and carefully controlled, patriots because you bring a lot of people with no knowledge, affiliation or loyalty to your country or culture. However, that doesn't mean Patriots and Conservatives are selfish and don't care or don't want to help. The Conservative/Patriot proposal is that we should aid them in refugee camps as you reach more people, especially those who cannot afford to travel, while you keep your country stable.

Conservatives and Patriots wouldn't oppose giving humanitarian aid to the migrants. What they oppose- what /we/ oppose -is bringing swarms of Muslims into the country to reproduce and feasibly outnumber us in a few generations. Welcoming the migrants is what would tick off the Patriots and Conservatives, not aiding them in their time of need.

It is the Conservatives (and some of the religious) that would support the aid the most. In many countries, the Conservatives (that's the American term for the right wing groups) are the most charitable with their own money and thus support iniatives to help the poor despite opposing the government to do the same.

In my own personal opinion (it would be great to know what people believes) helping the government will make the crisis get worse since you bring more violence to the country as well as support for the inhuman things that the government is supposedly doing so I think that the people will esape from that country.

Kurds and ISIS is really dificult to simulate for many reasons, you can't really help then (at least I don't imagine any country doing this) so a military intervention on their favor is discarded. What I've done with the mod is if you help government or refugees you help them against everyone else so, theoretically that faction will end up gaining control of the whole country.

On subject of helping them in their own country they might be a bit less reticent but not nearly in favor (again, at least in Spain) and now after what happened in Paris they are even more opposed to help them (it really doesn't make any sense since they are the ones running from ISIS but the fear of terrorism is real).

Well, thanks for the feedback Sir Nils Olav. To begin the refugee crisis doesn't increase the inmigration for one reason, you either welcome them or keep them from entering. But I didn't though of the possible illegal inmigration so I'll see what I can do. On the other hand Welcoming Syrian Refugees does indeed increase the inmigration, or at least it is supposed to. It have been a while since I don't play Democracy 3 but at least when I tested the last update it did.

I don't know where do you live but in my country Patriots and Conservatives are opposing to bring refugees since they think they might be terrorists or that their pressence here will make our economic situation worse and things like that. So they are completely oppossed to the welcome refugees policy. It may depend between the countries but at least in mine the vast majority of people who are in those groups think like that.

The Syrian Refugee crisis should have an effect on increased immigration, as Europe now faces. The welcoming of Syrian refugees should increase it even further as well.

The Humanitarian help to the refugees has a negative modifier to Patriots and Conservatives. This is very, very misleading and false. Patriots and Conservatives are the ones arguing for increase in humanitarian aid in the nearby areas rather than importing the migrants here. The policy should increase their happiness. It should also do more to help the crisis as well as it helps more people.

I also think there should be more than just to solve the crisis. I think that supporting the government should also help with the crisis because even though the government might be bad, them wining would bring an end to the war. There is a big absence of the Kurds in the conflict as well.

Other things like IS should be in the game mechanics as they are big part of the problem with the crisis.

I've been wanting a Mod to tie Water Supply to the Water Shortage. It annoys me that you can increase Water Supply with Vanilla policies and with the Water Purification Mod but it doesn't affect the Shortage.

Yes, all countries start with this crisis by default. This is happening right now, and all countries are affected by it more or less. It would be nice if you could manipulate the effects depending on the country but this is not possible as far as I know.
