Is it possible to mod quays? If so, would be cool to have this as an alternate quay.

My1x2 pieces do not lie flat. At the ends they are either too high or too low, and when connected to each other, they lift up. I see it slightly in the image you have above, but mine seem worse.

You do not have to make it sure. Fine. I'm just saying how to make.

That looks good though I have no idea how it's done. Also does this work for making gaps in the terrain?

There are many methods. But it should be a good choice. Another method would be even. Anyway, everything is possible. impossible? Then Moderate Ask for help. ; )

That could work yes, have the 1x2 with a slight inward curve, it might work but I will have to test it extensively...

Thank you. :)

Maybe it is if the tiles forced to 1x1.

@Breeze: I'm gonna be adding some of your trees to 8x2 :)

Curves are not possible with the current method, roads are an absolute requirement for the walls to stay aligned.

The new series canal. It uses the water. It is wonderful too. :)

You should make some curved ones, or ones that you can just plop down freely without needing roads to make whatever shape you want

Sorry.. but I don't think it makes sense to put the Canal Wall 8x2 as required items.
But I still like it. :)
