Tbh Maya. I really dont remember. If I had to guess though, I believe you are able to craft it on your person. Don't take my word on that though, as its been ages since I have released the mod/played the game and I dont remember for sure or not.

Does this mod make fur armor craftable in the players inventory or does it still require a smithy?
Verci 14 Oct, 2019 @ 7:21pm
This still works fine.
Timodepinda 11 Dec, 2017 @ 10:25am
Doesnt work :(
Verci 3 Aug, 2017 @ 8:23am
I currently have it not showing up in game on my server but I need to see if that is caused by other things.
Masterg  [author] 5 Jul, 2016 @ 1:44pm
@Wadewwjr Ok cool, last I knew people were crashing if it was first in their list so just make sure you have at least one other mod on your server and you should be good
Wadewwjr 5 Jul, 2016 @ 5:34am
It was still working on my single player game. I am about to add it to my server to see if it works there.
Masterg  [author] 2 Jul, 2016 @ 7:38am
Out of curiosity for everyone does this mod still work? I have lost the devkit files and am unable to continue this mod but I am curious if it still works

This server has this mod, and our online upper then 40 people, connect. [steam://connect/5.178.87.245:30215] or [ http://arkservers.net/server/5.178.87.245:30215 ]

In my opinion it should have a tad bit of metal in the recipe, even if it's just below 10 ingots in either the chest piece or the leggings. Just look at the armor, it has metal. IDK that's just my opinion on it becuase realism :P
Geralt_von_Riva 27 Feb, 2016 @ 3:50am
How is the Id of the mod to put it in a Nitrado Server
Dream 7 Feb, 2016 @ 10:22pm
@rhendeth GTFO, just go. You totally miss the point of this mod. This is about bringing fur to the level of other things, not making everything else on the same level as fur where it has weight and other BS. As for the ghille suit, I think Neraku's on the right track, but I'd rather just see the suit's armor value stay the same and it's crafting requirements change to be more in line with what it more or less is, a hide suit with leafy stuff on it.
Rhend 30 Dec, 2015 @ 10:32am
Please don't waste your time doing what Neraku asked for. That's a stupid request. The Ghillie suit is fine as is. If anything should be changed, the Flak suit should be made to have the weight that the fur armor has, it's not right that a suit of metal is .5 weight for each piece. That protection should come at a cost.
Neraku 5 Dec, 2015 @ 8:56pm
i dont think its fair to require polymer if it has less protection then chitin
Neraku 5 Dec, 2015 @ 8:55pm
yes please.
Masterg  [author] 5 Dec, 2015 @ 7:21am
ok ok I now know what your talking about you want me to make another mod that changes the armor value of the new ghille suite to flak because it requires polymer to craft. am I right just so I understand?
Neraku 4 Dec, 2015 @ 8:48pm
i mean would you make a addition to it.. cause the ghillie armor is made with polymor which is a form of metal.
Masterg  [author] 4 Dec, 2015 @ 11:00am
I probably wont Neraku just because its fur gear and thinking logically if you were to get shot with fur gear on vs flak the bullet would go through the fur where as flak the bullet might not make it all the way through the metal.
Neraku 4 Dec, 2015 @ 7:56am
would you remake the ghille suit so that its armor value is equal to that of flak?
Masterg  [author] 12 Nov, 2015 @ 7:16pm
yes it does only need one other mod and for that one to be first
Bongo Skaggs 12 Nov, 2015 @ 5:50pm
Curious, does this mod crash the game if it's the only mod installed?
DarkBoyDk 16 Oct, 2015 @ 11:57am
K9 Custom Stacks????
☬ Crow ☬ 12 Oct, 2015 @ 1:46pm
This mod is working great stacked with 14 others on our server. Thank you! I went ahead and totally replaced the normal with this and removed the other engrams so this is the only option to make and everyone loves it. Thanks! Rated and fav'd.

Good idea, I just think I am a little more conservative with which mods I use due to having to take the server down for updates and the potential for issues that come up with mod order and what not.

Np
Talayah 11 Oct, 2015 @ 9:04am
yay it works :-D thanks Masterg313
Talayah 11 Oct, 2015 @ 1:18am
@Masterg313 ok thanks, i will try it
Masterg  [author] 10 Oct, 2015 @ 6:48pm
@Amaria I found out that if this mod first on your list of mods it will make you crash.(still dont know why though) If anyone is crashing due to my mod make sure mine is not first and it will then resolve your issue. Will try to get this fixed but because I dont know why its crashing, it might take some time.
Masterg  [author] 10 Oct, 2015 @ 3:12pm
I will think about it. No promises though.
Raynor 10 Oct, 2015 @ 2:55pm
Armor and durability!
Masterg  [author] 10 Oct, 2015 @ 2:46pm
@Spartan what stats specifically are you suggesting to increase? @Amaria I have no clue as to why that would happen. Best I can do is to ask if anyone else can read that and tell me whats going on so I can fix it. Sorry
Talayah 10 Oct, 2015 @ 2:28pm
when i install this mod, i get this:
http://picload.org/image/pacaoai/errorark.jpg
however, it's the only mod i use. when i deinstall it, the game works again.
any ideas?
Raynor 10 Oct, 2015 @ 1:46pm
I don't this it should have metal on it either. Could you make a version with better stats then? Increase em by like 20%?
Masterg  [author] 10 Oct, 2015 @ 7:16am
Spartan I dont think I will be adding metal to the crafting requirements. This is because I dont see why the Devs in the first place had to add metal to Fur Gear . To me it doesnt make sense. I do realize that some pieces show metal on them, unfortunately I dont know how to model or else I would make a model without metal showing on the gear.
Raynor 10 Oct, 2015 @ 2:28am
Loving this mod but some of the armor pieces do have metal on them. So if you can add metal only to the pieces that have metal that would be cool.

Dork comment:
Heat in the human body is produced from working tissues ie muscles and transmitted through blood. Of course skin surface of a body part plays a major role in heat loss. What is more important though is how close to the skin veins are and what insulation is underneath it (fat, or multiple layers of different tissues). That is why we don't lose much heat from the abdomen (too much insulation there). Putting all these together one of the prime body parts responsible for heat loss, and heat regulation at that matter, are the legs, mainly the thighs. They have big muscles that produce heat, many veins and very little insulation. Why do you think you can see runners in cold weather wearing long sleeve blouses and shorts on their legs?
Mez 9 Oct, 2015 @ 10:39am
Just google it...tons of new articles cited his research, and others, in debunking the myth.
Mez 9 Oct, 2015 @ 10:39am
The whole 'you lose most of your body heat through your head' myth was based on a poorly conducted military experiment 50 or so years ago. That experiment had people wearing arctic gear from the neck down so of course most of their heat loss was through the head.

How much body heat you lose is almost entirely based upon surface area. It's estimated about 10% of your body heat is lost through the head. This information was from a report by a professor who was a hypothermia specialist and I believe an anesthesiologist. I am just guesstimating here but I'd say the feet and head have roughly the same surface area with probably slightly less in the hands. The chest and legs are the vast majority though...so if you are going for realism, amp those up and lower the other 3.
ShadowTheBuilder 9 Oct, 2015 @ 7:19am
Master313: About that head insulation; you lose 30% of your body heat trough top of your head, so is more important to get your head covered than other body parts. You can find that in winter, if you take off your hat, you are freezing more than you get off your gloves. I think that high insulation on headpiece is right thing.
RITEG 8 Oct, 2015 @ 12:27pm
Great mod, I think the crafting requirements are fine especially because this gear is the only thing that gives you good acess to the snow mountains
Masterg  [author] 8 Oct, 2015 @ 9:39am
Thanks for the feedback Rezonus what you said makes sense and it is now changed. :)
Rezonus 8 Oct, 2015 @ 7:35am
boots and gloves should add more insulation then the cap. it doesnt make sense that clothing that leaves you exposed to the elements is better then something that isnt.
☬ Crow ☬ 7 Oct, 2015 @ 1:06am
My 2 cents.. Don't change the model. It already takes forever updating 15 mods as it is. There's no reason to add any useless data to an already awesome mod. The armor looks awesome to begin with so why make the mod large for no reason? Just my opinion but when you are running multiple mods and have to keep yoru server updated several times a day.. lighter is better.
Masterg  [author] 6 Oct, 2015 @ 7:55am
I think I might take you up on that offer Lamproly. I will be home later and will work on updating the mod as I found the updated devkit. I will go ahead and let you know if I need any help.
Lamproly 6 Oct, 2015 @ 6:22am
If masterg is capable of editing the model, that'd be awesome. But I would be happy without model edit; as soon as I find out how to change cloth models in game I'll be glad to help out.

Without*
VI/I/II 5 Oct, 2015 @ 8:35pm
Yeah, but, when you look at the ar,or it has metal elbow and knee pads. Maybe take those off and change up the crafting req. for other versions if you're going to. Or just add one witjout metal, works either way.
Masterg  [author] 5 Oct, 2015 @ 10:55am
Thanks for the feedback! I will look into possibly doing these things when the new version of the devkit gets released.
Lamproly 5 Oct, 2015 @ 6:14am
I thought it was stats also ... I didn't like the idea of the game that it needs metal to craft. I'd love a light fur armor that just consists only of fur, hide and maybe fiber and has lower protection values against damage, but same values against cold. Then I'd be completely happy :D
VI/I/II 4 Oct, 2015 @ 1:10pm
Much appreciated. I still like what you're doing here nonetheless!
