There is a Problem: The small vault isn't closed and can't be closed. Everybody can access it, didn't test the other one yet.

Thanks for the heads up, but I haven't noticed any problems. The server I play on is currently running 219.6, but I have no problems in single player on 219.7.

If you run multiple mods, one of them could have an incompatibility with the new update and essentialy disabled the vault mod.

Has anyone else had problems? With more information we may be able to get it sorted out.

Seems like the latest ARK update may have broken the ability to place small and medium vaults y.y

I've played with snap points before, and I think I can do it. I'll need to do a fair bit of testing to make sure I don't break anything (with the vaults or core game mechanics) but I'm pretty sure I can put that in. If all goes well, it should only take a few days to get it uploaded.

It's a great suggestion, and I wish I had thought of it already. ;-)

@Tavan Exactly, originality is extremely hard to have with so many minds making things. Better however can be done and done well by those that have patience and a will to do it right.

I agree that it is better to have a range of many small mods that offer a rather exact change then giant packages that give you one item you want and lots of garbage you don't. Vanilla with sprinkles gives a cement mixer that is similar to the one you made, but I really can stand all the rest of the garbage on my server. Making bigger packages just leaves more room for something to break and ruin EVERYTHING in the package mod where as if something in the game changed with vaults it is much easier server side to remove the vault mod until it is fixed then to have to stop using the package or you to remove vaults from the package.

Thanks for your input, Lucifer. Although there were other vault mods similar to this at the time that I made it, they were either bundled with large mods, wouldn't work on the server I was playing on, or modified core game files but didn't update to keep pace with the game.

This mod was made to address those particular things, not to be an original idea. To make a seriously hyperbolic comparison: Tesla Motors didn't invent the car, they just made a better car.

As I've said to other people who haven't used my mods but think poorly of them, I promise I won't make you install it if you don't want to. ;-)

this mod was already done by several other modmakers. sorry nothin new here and seems like a complete copy of mods done by other modmakers that i know.

I debated this for a long time... do I leave the health the same or do I lower it? I chose to lower it becasue I feel like the damage resistance is what comes from them being metal. The amount of health has more to do with things like wall thickness and hinge size. It was that logic that brought me to the decision to reduce the health proportionally. Someone will still need lot of explosives for the small safe... it has 2500 more HPs than a metal wall.

It seems to me the health of each vault would be the same. Materials strength isn't the same thing as size.

yes I uploaded the files again in Filezilla and only the new one copies and some overwrote so its working perfect now. Thanks for the awesome mod! saved my air base design! normal boxes gets detroyed when you try to engage in combat.

It depends on the server whether you need to update your server's files directly or not. Generally speaking, even if the files are up to date, they won't take effect until the server restarts.

My suggestion would be to re-upload the files using FileZilla and then restart the server. Sorry for the inconvenience!

I plan on making as few changes as possible to this mod to try and avoid the exact situation you have described.

Hey, since you updated the mod I cant run my server, is there a way to update the mod in an unofficial server? Sorry im new to mods xD, Should I just update my server or do I have to delete the mod and copy the files to the server using FileZilla again?

I am running Aku Shima as well, and I always have problems with placing vault mods ever since I put Aku Shima on so what you are saying makes sense, I will try moving Aku Shima to the back of the list.
