Hey, Clunk! The reason for the advice is the poor LOD quality (even for a LOD).

I unsubscribed because you said so, but I didn't want to. Yes, I have the new mast also. I love these masts!

@R1FL3R - My bad, it wasn't actually talking about gradients - I was going off of memory and botched that part - it's actually, instead of 100% black, using other grayscale levels and how you buffer the space next to the alpha texture that got better results when zoomed out. Here's the link to the tutorial I was talking about - either way, if you fix this model or use this information for future models, I think it's super beneficial. It changed the way I do my alpha textures after reading it. :)

@templeofdoom If by gradient you mean transparency levels different than 0 or 100% than i need to say i didn't know that was a possibility, because the tutorial i followed said that the game only supported full or none transparency, therefore i only used alpha maps to that extent... so maybe the fix will be easy if the game really supports alpha gradients (if i still have the model laying around in my desktop).

Very cool - but I noted that when zoomed out the LOD alpha textures vanish. There are ways to adjust the black areas to a gradient - fading to white (area you want to show) in which at 50% gray gradient fading to white will show better at LOD distance. I can dig up a tutorial an experienced modder posted about on this topic if you prefer. Thanks for checking this out and if not - thanks for reading anyway!

@Bowser Jr. Done! Check my workshop out!

@Bowser Jr.
Should i add the supporting wires to the ground?
Ben  [author] 13 Oct, 2015 @ 6:29pm
@Bowser Jr. Shure, why not :D
Ben  [author] 13 Oct, 2015 @ 4:12pm
@Methos No problem
Mæthos 12 Oct, 2015 @ 3:33pm
@»R1FL3R« Ok, thank you for the quick answer.
Ben  [author] 12 Oct, 2015 @ 3:17pm
@Methos Yes, it does require a road :)
Mæthos 12 Oct, 2015 @ 2:02pm
Is it placeable everywhere or does it have to be next to a road?
Ben  [author] 9 Oct, 2015 @ 11:04am
@Bob Thanks :D

ohhh ok yeah I meant planes lol
Ben  [author] 8 Oct, 2015 @ 9:26am
@richpoyner
If you mean ''planes'' instead of "places'' than no, this is a communication antenna and the lights are alerts because of the antenna :P
RiichieJames 7 Oct, 2015 @ 10:55am
Is this what they have on moutains so places dont crash in to them?
