I don't think I've seen pistons being an obstacle in this particular way before. Some timing, but nothing serious, just keep doing moves that seem logical and interesting and you'll get there. Pretty neat one.

I did the last move completely wrong... but still got the end. I thought it felt wrong so I watched another walkthrough and I did actually solve it wrong. Great map tho! That lost move was so simple in hindsight

Good fun playing this one again 5y1m later

I wasn't paying full attention when it came to executing the final move, so I was wondering why the elevator only lifted one panel. I didn't see the white surface above the exit XD
But why not simply make the piston platform raise TWO levels?
...maybe "unnötig kompliziert"? ;-)

Really liked the way you used funnels here. One thing, though, is that getting the ||cube on the polarity-reversing button|| was a bit finicky.
Aneonen 22 Oct, 2020 @ 11:37pm
Fun puzzle! I liked the simple use of the rising platform. The first cube acquisition section was also neat although it took me a bit to realize that I could just quickly walk forward to shoot a portal on the angled panel rather than having to pre-place it there.

Nice easy map - some unconventional ideas :)
Nobody No-One 6 Jun, 2018 @ 9:00pm
Nice simple map. I enjoyed it.

Oh, a remake. Anyway, good and human-size map, rather hard than medium difficulty. Took more than 30 minutes to figure out the last move.

good puzzle. very well made remake of light trail. :p2aperture:

Great puzzle and clever use of funnel and piston platform in particular. Looking at the walkthrough afterwards, I did one bit differently i.e. stood at entrance platform with cube on funnel on button, I funnelled the other cube across to the funnel reverse button platform, then did the same with myself :steamfacepalm:. This was because (I’m stupid!) I didn’t realise I could see the portal surface under the funnel from the funnel reverse button platform. Me over thinking (or not thinking!) again, but you could make a slightly more challenging version like that. Anyway; I really enjoyed it; thank you.

Nice little puzzle, significantly easier than your usual maps, but that's not a bad thing. It's good to have maps like this too when not in the mood to tackle brain-exploding stuff, when time is lacking or when the frustration gauge is in overload.
toncica  [author] 9 Nov, 2016 @ 8:39pm
@lfairban, yes but that would require a NOT logic gate to inverse the connection. As it is, the exit starts opened and closes when the button is activated. This is the regular way how a connection works, I think it would be more confusing to implement the reverse order.
lfairban 8 Nov, 2016 @ 12:52pm
The exit sinage is confusing since the yellow check mark is seen when the door is locked. Could you switch it so it turns blue with the X when the button is pressed?
Modoc73 18 Jul, 2016 @ 6:39pm
Nice funnel map, well made. Thanks.
toncica  [author] 23 Feb, 2016 @ 3:14am
The piston platform is supposed to prevent you from going up with the funnel until the cube rests on the button, or else the player might be tempted to perform a trickier way.
PortalGeek2 23 Feb, 2016 @ 2:16am
Maybe I stumbled upon an unintended solution, but I did not use the platform near the exit, what purpose does it serve? . I can upload my pass-thru if it is really unintended.
Anyway, nice map. I like the idea.

Oh, you mean this one ?
It's a great remake then.
toncica  [author] 31 Oct, 2015 @ 4:29am
Thank you Ivo. I should mention again that it's a remake of Gemarakup's Light Rail with only mild changes to avoid trapping situations. Credit goes to him.

I feel like I'm playing this test a bit late, sorry about that, but I think it's incredibly clever.

Placing cubes on buttons by transporting them by funnels can be a pain in the neck in most maps but I enjoyed this one from start to finish - the first half I mean.
The second half (in which the funnel is permanently on ) I think is even better. The layout is great and I was absolutely mindblown when seeing a piston platform be an obstacle by stopping the funnel too high . I don't think I've seen that and I love it.

Good job and keep it up!

this chamber was an adventure. I enjoyed it, thanks!:p2cube:
dire.fcs 28 Oct, 2015 @ 11:19am
Vert clever and very well designed as usual (and no fizzlers)
KAKTUS ‡SvK‡ 17 Oct, 2015 @ 3:13am
excellent fun :steammocking:
ozchamp.wgt 15 Oct, 2015 @ 8:58pm
Clever chamber, not too frustrating but not to easy, thumbs up
toncica  [author] 15 Oct, 2015 @ 6:33am
@phyneas, by skip you mean replace. To drop the cube onto the button with proper timing was actually the only way before I changed it, because I thought it's needlessly tricky in this map. If you enjoy doing that then you're welcome to try another map from my workshop. :)
phyneas 15 Oct, 2015 @ 5:29am
Good map, though you can skip the last part if you time it just right so that the cube on the blue tractor beam button falls through the roof down onto the piston platform button and then just use the orange tractor beam to get to the exit after lifting the cube off piston button
dmuk 14 Oct, 2015 @ 11:15pm
Nice map and puzzle; lots of good transport work! Everything has a purpose, but exactly *when* is where the details lie...
jandlml 13 Oct, 2015 @ 10:06pm
you think its to easy quarternary. maybe thats why i finished it without help. and i was so proud that i finished a toncica map.lol loved it anyway
quat 13 Oct, 2015 @ 2:36pm
Too easy for a ton map!

Fun though
Gemarakup 13 Oct, 2015 @ 11:39am
Alright, I see you made some additions and fixes. Nice. I honestly missed out the part where the cubes get stuck. Also, you added a use for the blue funnel, which makes it more satisfying. The last part is also good. I might recreate this with aesthetics in the future.
Gemarakup 13 Oct, 2015 @ 11:22am
Alright, this is interesting. I need to compare it to my map before saying anything, because I didn't check it a long time.
h99pilot 9 Oct, 2015 @ 8:27am
Clever use of funnels. Not too hard but alot of fun.
toncica  [author] 9 Oct, 2015 @ 6:30am
Okay, the last move was needlessly tricky. I've changed that.
ZAEROS 9 Oct, 2015 @ 3:37am
Quitr trickybut still fun, Enjoyed, Thank you.
jgaultney 8 Oct, 2015 @ 9:29am
I haven't seen this type of puzzle in awhile. It was a lot of fun and although it wasn't
regular easy, it was 'toncica-easy'. :steamhappy: Thumbs up!
