This is definitely the most interesting and intriguing
spacecraft concept I have ever seen anyone come
up with and post here on Steam, so far.

Also in the movie it looks a bit like a bear.
When the planets-update is out, there may be atmosphere-thrusters, that we can add to each thruster bay to make it a true hybrid vtol.

I know about that. I chose this design, because of the merge-locking-mechanism.
A moving support, with moving thrusters on it will not be flyable in space-engineers.
This ships VTOL-mech is not even close to be movie accurate.
As said in the discription, this was just a test to me to the merge-locking-mechanism.

Right now I'm working on the full-scale-model. Even there will be no movable support, but i will make it look like there ist one. (As movie-accurate as I can do it)

Please remember, this is based on the small-ship-grid. Rotors only are not strong enaugh, to make a reliable VTOL. In fakt, they are not even strong enaugh to rotate the mass of the thrusters.
I published this for you to take it apart and look at how i made the thrusters merge in both dircetions. And maybe you want to build your own VTOL-ship that way.

At VTOL engines, there is another movable support, the author,I ask you to look more closely at the mechanism of VTOL motors the model without horizontal support, this ship is losing its relevance

looks more like the "Raza" from dark matter
