But both of us have a vacation coming up in a month and we definately plan to get to work on the final bits :)
... also, I've built a giant chicken ship, fully functional in survival during the 2 weeks of buggy mining glitches. But not sure if I should post that one :) I mean, it works but I'm not sure it's something people would want to fly around in.
If you are wondering if it makes it more performance heavy, the answer is no. The script has minimal influence on your PC's performance. All the blocks, lights, buggy asteroids and weapons systems if online... well, they impact performance quite drastically.
If it's too much, try one of the smaller versions. My favorite overall is the 04 but the 03 version is actually quite neat :)
For example, some of the screens will show how much ore there is currently in the cargo hold. This number will wary a lot depending on how much you mine or if you chose to transfer it to another ship.
The script is needed to display the information. The timer block, pings the ship constantly checking for updates. So if you were to deposit 2321 Iron Ore into a cargo container on the ship, a timer block is pinging that cargo container every second checking for updates. Once it detects a change, the script will then display it on the appropriate screen that there is now 2321 Iron Ore onboard the ship.
Another screen will then tell you that refineries have gone from Idle to Working because they have begun to process the ore.
That's how it works :)
Basically, it's as simple as writing a text on a LCD screen saying "Chickens are fat". If published or simply copied, then when someone puts it in their world the LCD screen will still say "Chickens are fat".
So the programable block holds the code for all the various information that can be displayed. In the public title, the desired specific information is selected. Then a timer block refreshes the information constantly so that it is updated nearly in realtime.
That way, you don't need to download any mods :)
Thank you =-D

Not quite, but definitely looks good all the same (yes, I noticed your note at the bottom of the description. Good ship to take inspiration from).
