the inscriptions/icons/pictograms have changed, and the combat units themselves have remained the same. The final version of the game. The Russian language is selected. I installed it through steam workshop, then updated it in game launcher

Draco Dej 6 Dec, 2019 @ 9:42am
Are the models created by you, or are they in the code itself?

Thank you

Holy crap, this was exactly what I thought when I saw Cadavers for the first time. Thank you very much!
BigRowdy 3 Dec, 2017 @ 5:56am
I assume an AI necromancer would have this mod applied as it is just visuals, is that correct?

A poll will be launched to elect and rank the 20 best mods of AoW3 as of 2017. In order to shortlist the 20 mods, I opened a discussion here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/app/226840/discussions/0/1473095965290519438/ Please share your favourite mods there. Please also comment on the mods already listed so that we can see which are the favourites to be in the shortlist.
Army of Animated Corpses is currently not in the list so speak out for your favourite mod if you want him to be considered! :)

@Ana: Necro DLC = Eternal Lords DLC (which introduces the Necro class).
Grim Reaper 9 May, 2017 @ 10:49pm
@Ana There are only 3 DLCs to the game, hope you found it by now.
dizzy 16 Feb, 2017 @ 9:46pm
@Ploop32123 What necro dlc? You say this requires another dlc? Which one>? I dont see any dlc simply titled necro. Please help!
Ploop32123 14 Dec, 2016 @ 10:30pm
@Templar its kind of implied that the necro unit requires the necro dlc
Cain 16 Nov, 2016 @ 4:13pm
This mod requires dlc. Could you have the mod page notify people of that?
Sheph 29 Oct, 2016 @ 4:34pm
I like the units but they don't have the right properties for my mod. What pack are you hiding this in? I attempted to mod "cadaver" but nothing changed, so I guess you have the unit hidden in some other rpk file.

Wow, what a great mod :D

Thank you Captain Joruus!

@Capitan Joruus (VORP?): hello, there are currently discussions for a community-made Shadow Realm expansion and we are looking for 3D modellers. Your mod seems to show you have that kind of skills. Would you be interested to join the team? Please answer here: http://aow.triumph.net/forums/topic/shadow-realm-brainstorm/page/4/#post-244780

I wish there were a mod to keep them from dying after a number of turns :(

Hi Capitan Joruus! Would you allow me to make a compatibility patch for this wonderful mod and mine?

mistress miaura 20 Jan, 2016 @ 4:46am
Beautifull ;), thanks very much! Made a piraty ghost looking human necro yesterday just for this, and was not disappointed, very nice!
Recine 13 Jan, 2016 @ 10:59am
You should fix russian translation.
Xenofang 11 Jan, 2016 @ 10:48pm
Really cool mod, but I use the GOG version. Do you have a non Steam version of the mod by any chance?
A_Gamer_Who_Games 6 Jan, 2016 @ 12:01am
Many thanks, this new model really will help my necro ;D
nfatcheese 7 Dec, 2015 @ 7:45pm
Excellent, this will give me just the White Walker feel I wanted!
Shidan 25 Nov, 2015 @ 11:02am
The cadavers have always annoyed me. It never felt like an undead horde. Good job!
Kazemesz 19 Nov, 2015 @ 1:34pm
THANKS BEGGER
Uber-n00bie 17 Nov, 2015 @ 1:14pm
Just was curious you were still intending on making it. Take all the time you need of course, and thanks for the response.
Capitan Joruus  [author] 17 Nov, 2015 @ 6:00am
Hi Uber-n00bie,

I still have plans to develop it but regetrably I do not know when I will be able to do it. I am actually busy with some personnal matters and got no free time enough. Sorry and be patient.
Uber-n00bie 15 Nov, 2015 @ 10:29pm
Do you still have plans for a separate mod that doesn't replace the default cadaver unit?

I could go for either the 'evolution' method or making a completely separate unit, perhaps as a higher-level researchable spell for necros. It would be neat to see these guys spawn on the map from camps on occasion as well. Either way would be great.
Beggar 6 Nov, 2015 @ 3:15pm
@Kazemesz When you start the game, the launcher opens, You need to click the Tab "User Content" It'll have a yellow exclamation mark. You need to then click the Update button on the top right. Then start the game.
Kazemesz 4 Nov, 2015 @ 11:17am
for some reason when i subscribe to mods they dont show up in game. anyone know why that is?
Enginseer89 21 Oct, 2015 @ 9:31am
Fantastic work!
Furin 20 Oct, 2015 @ 7:30am
... the guy with the shield and hammer ...
Furin 20 Oct, 2015 @ 7:27am
The unit looks amazing, way more frightening than they really are. Try listening to some deep progressive while watching the animated unit window, it will look like the skeletons are on a rave.
Smeagolheart 19 Oct, 2015 @ 8:12pm
seems like an obvious choice to add as an event: invasion of the army of darkness. A necromancer hero arrives...
Generic Asshole #43 19 Oct, 2015 @ 6:45pm
A summon is a great idea, works in just fine with banshees and the like. I think the main reason so many people want the train/summon route, myelf included, is because we want to be able to field an army of actual skeletons as a necromancer should, not those glass marrow piles called cadavers. Plus these models are too badass to be restricted to such a underwhelming unit.
Capitan Joruus  [author] 19 Oct, 2015 @ 5:02pm
Hi all!! Thank you very much for your comments and it is very nice a lot of people like this small job!.

I am working on:

- Reducing the FX mists (white/green), so they do not overfill mainly in TC maps.

- Changing Dark Ritual Necro spell to summon 3 Armies of Animated Corpses instead of 3 Cadavers.

- I am thinking on other ways to summon this unit in the startegic map, maybe from already explored tombs/dungeons?. I am not convinced in the recruiting way....in my opinion raising corpses seem to be Dark Magic origin.....

- Even when I like the idea of a new/separate unit using this look, I am afraid of doing it in the wrong way so the game can be unbalanced. I have the idea to use the evolve ability on this unit at gold so a T2 version of the unit appears (different statistics/abilities, no decay, etc.). Suggestions are welcome.

Please be patient. I have not too much free time these days but I promise to update the mod soon.

Thanks again!:steamhappy:

ElderDays 19 Oct, 2015 @ 2:14pm
Very nice. A small suggestion is to go with either with either the green mist or the white. Having both makes the unit visually busy in my opinion.
LAMBENT LΣVIATHAN 18 Oct, 2015 @ 10:19pm
They look too strong to be a lowly cadaver skin.
Des 18 Oct, 2015 @ 5:53pm
Love this mod. Would like to see it recruitable as a unit from the beginning instead of being "forced" to create your racial units. These new units should not decay but keep original unit stats and health to keep the feel of them being fragile fodder. I would probably take away their bone collector synergy and make them infantry units, but thats just me.

Also the Dark Ritual spell that gives you 3 Cadaver units spawns 3 vanilla Cadavers but i would much rather spawn 3 of your new unit in their place. Can we possibly get a mod for that too?
BloodyBill 18 Oct, 2015 @ 4:46pm
I really like it! Personally I like the role and purpose of the cadaver unit but I find your spin on it visually more interesting. If you do end up making it a new separate unit, any chance you will make it in a separate mode and keep this one visual only?
Tanaka 18 Oct, 2015 @ 2:00pm
Much better thank you!!!
Uber-n00bie 18 Oct, 2015 @ 1:30pm
This is looking fantastic. Although I agree with those saying they'd prefer this as a new unit. Perhaps leaving in the default version as-is, and making this an upgraded version of the cadaver spell -- since these guys clearly look more powerful. Again, looks great!
Beggar 18 Oct, 2015 @ 9:40am
Well done, very very well done, this is great these are the quality of mods I want in this game
Overlich 18 Oct, 2015 @ 4:54am
You earned yourself a place in the worm cult with this mod!
PsychoticSoul 17 Oct, 2015 @ 10:35pm
Thank you!
These look so much better than the crawling ones.
BloodyBill 17 Oct, 2015 @ 8:32pm
Dude, I was looking exactly for this very mod! Finally a proper army of darkness!
Capitan Joruus  [author] 17 Oct, 2015 @ 7:09pm
Hi All!.
Thanks for your comments. My intention from the beginning was to replace the cadaver unit aspect only (I found it not very cool indeed). I really was not thinking about a new unit..... but I promise you I will think it over. Your comments and ideas are welcome!!

Great (And holy crap it was needed) mod, but I agree with Turus on this, it would be great as a new recruitable unit.
