Tried to play both of the Unknown maps and I got some "fatal error" and everything was completely barren when I went into the game. Match had started but couldn't move anyone, they were all stiff and the map had no features

@Musket Marine: Possibly at some point. However I'd like to see the current limitations get fixed first (grass, terrain height).

I was thinking about this already, but i have no idea how to make it, but i know you from coh2.org and you made always great stuff. In this case, you made maybe the most useful Work of all Mapmakers !!!

Update:

- Added 6 new tiles (5 hedgerows and 1 grove)
- Base sectors are now surrounded by grove tiles
- Center line of the map is now populated with hedgerow tiles
- As a result of this, building tiles are quite rare, and they are forced to spawn in at least 2 locations
- Added some hardcoded grass

The map looks quite different now and it's certainly not as open as it used to be. Let me know what you think guys!

@The Roman Empire Noted! We are certainly going to expand this concept into multiple tile sets once we have a rigid base and some of the bugs related to stamps are fixed. Right now we are a bit limited. I'd love to have water, grass, object splines, and terrain deform, but right now those are out of our reach. Thanks for the feedback!

In addition to other good ideas others have put forth, please consider making Winter and Urban tile-sets/maps in the future, to expand on this idea. If that can be achieved, we might have a perfect system for something as incredible as a randomly generated campaign, or perhaps something for the official ladder.

An additional, easier suggestion, would be to make several more map layouts with different territory boundaries and resource placement, with more players as well.

@Caius.Bingerus®: Water and terrain elevation is currently broken, we can't add tiles with water. There are at least 6 new tiles with hedgerows and groves on the way.

@Janne252: i playtested your map extensivly over last day...this project has the potential to revolutionate the entire multiplayer, simple reason you cannot expect chokepoints or camping stations, whenever the map is loaded you have to really think of a strategic plan to counter you opponents, this takes in account to be a commander and being sent to an area you haven`t recognized before, thumps up for this outstanding achievement...the randomness is quite good, but some more environmental things should be added in the future, trees and bushes, pools of water and mud and so on, btw great idea on random rotation of houses :-) these little details count :-) anyway, thx from my heart :-)

You can find it anyway you like. It didn't work. I have no reason to lie. I have nothing to gain by doing so. Everything was the same means ... nothing was different.

what a great break through in terms of map making, may i suggest a couple of things...

random day and night cycle, random weather conditions (rain, snow, sunset) if possible...add some pools of water, mud and so on
