- I see that the survivors in worldmodel do not take out the magazine when reloading the Hunting Rifle with this mod on can you please fix that?
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1984995102
I don't have a pump shotgun animation that's anywhere near ready for use. The ones I DO have are very old, and are from a long time ago. I no longer like them whatsoever.
This is an animation bug on Valve's end. Without the source files to the L4D2 characters' animation sets, I can't correct it completely.
Also this submission is old, thus I do not intend to fix anything. This is primarily a first person adjustment anyway. A newer version, hopefully with an ejecting magazine, will come out soon enough alongside a bunch of other guns.
They're on their way. I'm trying to get all of the weapons rigged and animated well before releasing them. I have a few ideas for new pistol reloads that I'd rather release than the current ones. The closest weapon to completion is probably the AK-47; I'm very satisfied with its current animations and will probably not make further changes to the mesh/texture. The source files for all weapons will be released once I've gotten all of the weapons completed and compiling.
Yes, only the hunting rifle.
That would be hard to say. There are some notable changes:
1. ALL pistols are the same kind of pistol. This fixes consistency problems.
2. There are 3 pistols to choose from, which will be separate submissions:
A. P220 (By default, this is the pistol on the right)
B. Glock (By default, this is the pistol on the left)
C. Colt 1911 (As seen in Left 4 Dead 1, but updated with a HQ model and somewhat-improved texture)
3. World models will be hacked together from the view models, which will be completed meshes.
4. (very) Subtle up/down aiming
There are more changes, obviously, mostly to the rigging of the weapons, but I don't have the patience (or time) to list them all right now.
Once I fnish all of the weapons, I'll release the source files so that anyone who wants to build off of them is more than welcome to.
Of course. In fact, here, a (quite unfinished) recording of just those:

It's doing surprisingly well. Here, have a preview of some sketchup, unfinished but still somewhat usable animations:

Unless you're talking about something that changes the model. In which case, you'll have to actually grab the source files from GameBanana, hack a model onto my existing one, recompile, then re-pack the VPK.
I'm not going to bother with this old one any more, simply because it's more of a legacy thing. I've updated my formats since then and am now re-doing a lot of other guns in a more efficient format.
If you're that desperate to make it skin-friendly, you can just download and edit the VPK itself, removing the existing "materials" folder and re-pack it. I have no intentions to update this any further.
No. I modified the texture slightly.
Sorry I didn't reply sooner, I was caught up in stuff.
Yes, I am in fact still alive and still working on these overhauls. In fact, I have a Pistol Overhaul nearing its release. I won't spoil all the details, but it includes massively improved animations (Even superior to the animations in this mod), consistency improvements, a re-done world model (that's ripped directly from the view model, much like this mod), and an optional re-implementation of an (updated) Left 4 Dead 1 pistol (The Colt 1911).
I can't give you a release date, though, other than it being pretty close to completion. College won't start for about a year, which, inbetween work, will give me a lot of time to continue creating overhauls.
I can't directly use these animations on any other weapon, including the default weapon mesh, due to bone location differences and animation styles.
I CAN, however, style some animations that are similar for the military rifle. I'll get to that eventually.
