We haven't looked at this mod in quite some time because the main author became obsessed with 7 Days to Die and Project Zomboid but I will ask him if he plans to update this. Which he should.

MOD REQUEST
Make a mod that contains cables and wallplugs. But they should look modern and beautiful (maybe even in a few different colors, like orange, red, bluem green, white, gray, black, blue, almost invisible glass), instead of having that raw, unsafe look as all current cables have. Can you do this?
Grizzly Bob 18 May, 2017 @ 1:03pm
Is this mod still being maintained? I would like to use it. Thanks

useless.can't connect to the towers,
StormSpiritGB 29 Apr, 2016 @ 8:32pm
how go you get the cables to connect to the towers?
Nex 29 Apr, 2016 @ 8:25pm
Disregard, I got it to load into my server, but Im not sure I understand. I placed the power poles and theres no snap to for the wires on them, and I cant seem to get power to them. Do they not actually run electricity? What am I doing wrong? I've tried the great big Google machine but cant seem to find anything on it.
Nex 29 Apr, 2016 @ 1:22pm
Hi, I installed this mod on the Shigo Islands map and it's not working it would seem. Does it have to be at the top of my mods list? Because my 240 lvl cap dino mod needs to as well, so im not sure what the fix for that is.
Cadash 29 Apr, 2016 @ 10:21am
Vas: I agree that would be cool we'll see if that's something that we can pull off with this mod or we'd need to create a different version to accomodate that.
Cadash 29 Apr, 2016 @ 10:16am
@ Lone Ranger: You can't hide those hideous cables at all we position the boxes closed to lights and electronics so that they don't show up.

@Thoran: There is a max number of items that can be in a certain area with max structure count. That includes everything you build not just the small power cables. These do contribute a higher number to that total than the default ones because they are smaller.
Thoran 29 Apr, 2016 @ 9:16am
i dont know why but i suddenly cant build any more cables...
i can still build everything else just ot the mod cables so i was wondering if the mod had something like a maximum amount of modparts in the surrounding or something like that?
Thx
SuperSxyNerd 27 Apr, 2016 @ 2:29pm
Does this hide the cables that come from junction boxes and make like a spider web of wires all over the base to power individual objects?
Bördi 24 Apr, 2016 @ 6:49am
The Mod run @admin, not @ user ;(

Hello Surviors,
We are running this mod on our PVE NL/ENG server along with other mods.
Here's the steam page to have a look at what we are currently playing with :)

https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/groups/BanjerPVE

Hope to see you there.

Happy ARKing

Great mod, thanks so much for making and sharing!

I was surprised that the cables don't change colors to show that its powered. Doesn't need to be that ugly bright yellow as the official ones, but some soft indication would be nice. Perhaps they're gray when not powered and white (your color now) when powered?

Any way we can make these reusable?
Tyiarrą Marie 🌺 20 Mar, 2016 @ 9:10pm
I second what Vas said *Thumbs Up* I also use the Bridge mod and adding the feature so that you can reduce item count and allow us to extend or shorten the length of the cables would be really nice, not to mention the hideous look of our bases with wires all poking out in all directions all over the place makes me not like cables at all.
Vas 14 Mar, 2016 @ 10:57pm
60 megs for some power cables? Sheesh. :P Textures in this game are ridiculous! Half the mods I want are 1GB or more.

One thought, there is a mod that adds bridges to the game and you can open their radial menu and increase the size of the bridge and angle. You could do something like that, with this mod. So that you can reduce the item count, and allow people to increase or decrease the length of a cable all they want? That would be great really.
War3zuk 27 Feb, 2016 @ 8:35am
How do I add your MOD but disable that horrible steel pilon structor as it really looks odd in ark... Thanks
Cadash 26 Feb, 2016 @ 11:30am
AFAIK the cables themselves don't need support so if you get the too high above ground error message that would be an in game limitation. We could check on that. The poles are for looks mainly because many people like to keep things clean and 'realistic' - we are working on a reskin for the pole extensions. We are also looking into 'elbows' for the power lines so they can turn left or right without using the "+" shaped power cables. The idea of angled power lines is worth a look as well. We'd like to work on that - having a more skilled modeler (we are pretty mediocre in that area) would be very helpful if anyone would like to help.
hawk20011 26 Feb, 2016 @ 6:44am
Would these cables inherit the "too high above ground" building restriction you can get with the regular cables? I built a Castle in the sky base and cables or pipes just won't place because of the distance to the ground. I see you added power poles....wondering if it might work for me
Luap 21 Feb, 2016 @ 4:13pm
Got some ideas for you if you have a modeler...hitting "e" to rotate the direction when snapping a horizontal to a vertical (45 degree increments would be awesome), a vertical cross, horizontal and vertical tee (3-way) with option to flip directions, horizontal and vertical bends (2-way) with rotate option
kaldac nor 21 Feb, 2016 @ 10:35am
could they be made so you can pick them up and move them rather than them being destroyed. or is this something your working on?
Ark_000 10 Feb, 2016 @ 9:32am
Good Job!

Minior Note:
Crossing Pole Extension looks not smooth.

Maybe a 180° vertical Object-Flip (adjustable) will help for smoother Transitions,
or a similar Texture, or Metalstripes/-rings at both ends - what ever,
could look better?

To fill a small Empty to the Ground, the (Ark)Stonepillar works nice,
but the Wood Pole and Extension could be sink in the Ground similar to the Metal Pole – maybe?
However, the last is not important :-)!

Thanks guys!
Ark_000 8 Feb, 2016 @ 7:06pm
We realy like this Mod.:-)
The new Woodpole is great, but a Challenge (height differences).
(We used the vertical Stonepipe so far lol)

Maybe splitting the Pole in Top and Pillars would be helpful.
So the Top can be placing free (to the cable) and the Pillars snap on one by one to the Ground?

But Big Thanks for this extraordinary charges!
Nice work!

Update coming soon..... Fixing issues with the cables where it would delete more than 1 cable. Also fixed the Power Pole not rotating.
Shamywow  [author] 8 Feb, 2016 @ 6:41am
Correct! It does not replace the default cables. These are new items added to the game so you would need to destroy your current cables if you would rather use these. You can use both as well but they do not connect well to the default cables. I have seen where people use the default cables to go on long runs such as outside the base or between bases and then use our small cables to wire their houses as they hide much better than the default.
crossmr 7 Feb, 2016 @ 9:00pm
But it doesn't change existing cables? I had one laid down already, under the floor, should I destroy it and replace it with this?
Shamywow  [author] 7 Feb, 2016 @ 8:24pm
On a side note, we have been troubleshooting the issue with destroying cables. We have been able to reproduce the issue and will work on it for the next update. Thanks everyone!
Shamywow  [author] 7 Feb, 2016 @ 8:21pm
Yes. If you come straight off the generator it is offset so its on the top of the floor / foundation
crossmr 7 Feb, 2016 @ 7:22pm
From the pictures does this also put the power cables above the floor so you can see them?
Shamywow  [author] 7 Feb, 2016 @ 2:44pm
Update just hit! Check it out and let us know :)
Shamywow  [author] 4 Feb, 2016 @ 3:33pm
Also please rate our mod :)
Shamywow  [author] 4 Feb, 2016 @ 3:31pm
After our short break, we have returned! We will be updating this mod with the addition of new items! Keep us posted on what you would like to have added and we will see what we can do. We will try and troubleshoot the issue some are having with deleting cables as well.

Everybody asks for the mod ID when it is not given however as a server operater do you not have to copy the mod folder and file over from local client to server once its installed?
The answer is of course yes, therefore, if you download and install this mod wouldn't it be the last one installed, sort folder by "last modified" and voila, the mod is the newest on top in the folder.
There are much faster ways to figure it out but that should be a glaringly obvious one, especially for somebody that operates a server.
heidan65 3 Feb, 2016 @ 5:09am
Hi.
I want to add this mod to our server at Survival Servers, but where do I find the mod ID?
Max 27 Jan, 2016 @ 12:53pm
Max structure limit was at around 1600 items , I don't know if its officially still at that amount , on our server I put it to 2000.
I use cables to also provide power to turrets on perimeter fences, I guess that's where the longer runs come in so its more the horizontal cable that is affected instead of the vertical.
It varies by base design so I cannot give you an accurate distance.
Was just an idea, not totally necessary but would come in handy if its not too much work.
Say a 4x length horizontal and a 2x length vertical (as examples).
Cadash 27 Jan, 2016 @ 12:29pm
Max: Can you provide an example of how long you're stretching power cables? Typically in our builds we run enough electrical to power internal structure and nearby lighting - we don't typically run power beyond immediate areas. Though if we used your suggestion we could make the longer cables in addition to current ones if there is a true need to keep the structure count down. Do you know the limit of max structure?
Max 27 Jan, 2016 @ 12:15pm
Just a recommendation, to make the same size diameter cables but the length of regular ones, why, because otherwise you need to lay an incredible amount of these small cables to cover longer distances and they count towards the local max structure limit.
Cadash 27 Jan, 2016 @ 12:07pm
What bugs are people still having? If it's still the inclined piece we can look into that but most of us using it don't have any issues. I don't believe these will snap to the regular sized power cables so you do have to replace your entire electrical structure.
Darbbo 27 Jan, 2016 @ 11:14am
Just what I'm looking for but, if this is buggy why does it have a green puzzle piece.....waiting to sub.

Ich habe mich gerade so gefreut endlich kleine kabels, aber wenn ich das hier so lese muss wohl einiges getan werden.
Max 10 Dec, 2015 @ 4:25pm
In my case when I did the tests and had the "unpredictable" behavior I had no diagonal / inclined pieces at all.
