You probably did already, but you can use pmove_WeaponRaiseTime and pmove_WeaponDropTime to manipulate weapon switching delays. This could help you with what you're going for.

As a work around.
I bound Shotgun to mouse scroll up,
Grapple to mouse scroll down.
This works well.
Quickly zip around the map and at least quickly bring my shotty to bear in close.
Even mid flight , I drop off the line whilst ready to fire.

I don't believe off hand grapples were ever implemented in Quake Live unfortunately.

Sure thing, g_splashdamage_rl is set to 0 for this factory but you can set it to other values. The default is 84.

At some point, I can't tell you what year exactly but it was obviously a while ago, the devs changed some things about the physics. For instance, with the new settings, you can get some speed by bunny hopping without any actually strafe jumping. It wasn't so before. Anything that mentions "classic" reverts to the old movement physics. Looking at the scripts, the exact cvars seem to be those:
"pmove_BunnyHop": "0",
"pmove_CrouchStepJump": "0",
"pmove_JumpTimeDeltaMin": "50",
"pmove_WaterSwimScale": "0.5f",
"pmove_WaterWadeScale": "0.75f"

No, it cannot. The factory system this is based on does not exist in Quake 3. You could always however look at the factories you like in the config file and copy over the cvars. Most of them wil be the same in Quake 3. I think you could them make yourself a bind or alias to change everything in one go when you want it, provided you have server admin access. I can't think of a way to tie it to a vote though.

Not that I know, no. The closest to that would probably be something like freezetag with CA-like settings and insanely long thaw times so it doesn't occur.

I can't think of any way to do that through a gametype, sadly. It could be possible with a custom map that respawns people in some other area I guess but that sounds janky.

I'm actually trying for no player respawns, in effect working more like a round of CA but in FFA. I haven't seen any cvars that handle that function yet.

I'd recommend going through your workshop content to find what this item provides and analysing it from here. It's basically choosing a base gametype then modifying cvars from there. The format is JSON iirc. What you're suggesting sounds doable if you mean no weapon spawns at all.

Hello. I'm not PredatH0r by the way. mg_ctf_runes has a g_startingWeapons of 515. According to my documentation, there shouldn't be a hook (value of 512) so this was a mistake on my part. I'll adjust it to 3 and update the workshop item. Thanks! As for why it didn't work for you, well I guess the value was not properly overriden.

Hello PredatH0r , I got Grappling Hook at every Respawn from "mg_ctf_runes", even I set g_startingWeapons = 3 in the script . Can I really disable the hook in CTF with runes ?

Those aren't commands. They are factories. You have to use them like you use other factories such as "ca". Example : "/callvote map campgrounds mg_ca_ra3"

classic settings have no loadouts. Heck iirc even the base game's defaults stopped using loadouts years ago.

The "Master" badge is obtained by obtaining 5 full sets of Quake Live trading cards and crafting the badges out of them.

Steam achievements are accompanied with an explanation. I'm afraid I can't add anything more to that. In my opinon if you just play normally you will get them eventually. I have no special technique to get them.

This is done through the program called "minqlx". I never used it so I cannot guide you but most server owners have it so you could ask pretty much anyone with a server for help. https://github.com/MinoMino/minqlx

Quake Live Steam, I see. Thanks. I assume that by "character" you mean player model. If so, well, I don't know how that works. However, some folks on the workshop might. I don't think anyone actually created original content for Quake Live but perhaps those who converted models or skins know enough to help you. No command can add race checkpoints in a map that doesn't have them, I'm afraid. It's like trying to play CTF on campgrounds. But if you wanted to run around a map without checkpoints just to try out physics or something, why not just use a normal factory instead? Like the stock duel factory with no bots. Or maybe I haven't understood what you wanted correctly.
