Very nice map. Although it did have its few bugs, such as them grabbing you through the wall in the spawn room, or getting stuck at doors sometime. It should of had Robot Head Girl too perhaps. But anyway, very nice.
damn the end but funy and yes not bad like it :3

Unique idea, actually pretty fun. Good job!
Would love to see this fleshed out a little more.

I know this is a meme at this point, and you're probably just toying with me but... *sigh*... Darude Sandstorm.

What's the song at the end?

Play it with the hardmode mod and then say it's easy.

easy but it was fun

Probably the best ending to a custom map ever!

@Jippa_Lippa, According to the change notes, it is already so, :P
jippalippa 21 Nov, 2015 @ 10:33am
Thanks. Much appreciated. Tell me when you have done it :)
The Dreamer  [author] 19 Nov, 2015 @ 10:47am
There is, but tell you what, try it in a few hours, I think the door for the last level has been set as interactable so you can be killed during the level transition, I'm gonna add some code that locks it as soon as you use the omnitool, should make it a lot safer and less frustrating.
jippalippa 19 Nov, 2015 @ 10:41am
i have missed the last part because of a save corruption. At the end of the third one i was stupid enough to use the ominitool while being killed by an enemy. A 100% my fault. Gonna try the mod again if you tell me there's a fourth part.
The Dreamer  [author] 17 Nov, 2015 @ 11:58pm
@Jippa_Lippa, Also, it should have three legit levels and a goofy ending, if you didn't get that ending, please tell me, I'd hate to have people go all that way just to miss out on the last map, :(
The Dreamer  [author] 17 Nov, 2015 @ 11:56pm
@Jippa_Lippa, This was more of an early testing "see what the engine can do" mod. I'm glad you enjoyed it, but as for sprucing up, I'd rather give that extra bit of care to my stories that have... well, stories, :P
jippalippa 17 Nov, 2015 @ 3:04pm
Is it 3 parts or am i missing one? By the way great mod! Felt challenging, engaging and very creepy in the last section. My suggestion is to stylize it alla bit. Basically leave the layout like this but add details, props ecc...to make it creepier. Great job regardless.

Review:

Pros:
- Very challenging gameplay
- Very addicting party game
- That last level is just ... play the mod for yourself, it's worth it! :)

Cons:
- Alot of overlaping textures in the tunnel areas, especially during the third level
- Some enemy encounters are down right impossible to get past without triggering them

tl;dr: A fun little mod with some glaring issues that can easily be fixed with another play tester or even going through the game over and over bug hunting

"Now, can I finally leave these two behind and make something new, you nitpicking scum? :P"

Hey, chill! :) I'll edit the review to "trim the fat" a bit...
The Dreamer  [author] 30 Oct, 2015 @ 11:31am
@Antaria Also, fixed the texture overlapping and made the last level a bit more fun-difficult as opposed to bullshit-difficult, the previous version was do-able without getting caught, (I playtested that aspect quite rigorously) as the catwalk segments are so dark and far enough out of the way that robots can't spot you in them, making their patrols fairly easy to dodge, but you're probably right, too many blinky monsters, not enough slowly-chase-you-through-the-level monsters. Now, can I finally leave these two behind and make something new, you nitpicking scum? :P

@Antaria, I don't feel the need to change the menus because a: The Omnitool Challenge is a pretty simple challenge map, and doesn't introduce any story or atmospheric elements that would be helped with a customized menu screen, and b: Wafer occurs in the world of SOMA and seeing as it serves as a vague postlude to the game, the menu is appropriate. Now, when a mod is set on the backwards swamps of Zarklon B, then I'll do a bit of the old menu making, but for now, I mod because it's fun, and drawing menu backgrounds is not fun for me.

Looks OK, will give you a review sometime this weekend...

Heart attacks? Does that mean there are jump scares? I hope not

That last level was the best experience I've ever had in my life. Oh, and is it supposed to go black after it?
greenspleen17 25 Oct, 2015 @ 10:22am
Awesome! These are the types of maps we need!
