when playing with HIP it affects the apostolic and ziyad and other small christian and muslim religions and turns the regions into noreligion and the rulers as well.

This glitched for me. It turns all feudal governments into pirate governments. Any reason and fix available?
dagobertdu94 6 Nov, 2021 @ 4:53pm
But now I have the problem that it won't download new subscribed or remove unsubscribed mods anymore. Sometimes I don't know what Steam is doing or not doing... :sslenemy:

After subscribing to this mod all my save games won't show up.
Without this mod I can select and load them.
Does someone know why that is happening?
(And I think it disables the features of some other mods I subscribed to, but I need to look after that first)

Not working
KaiserBjörn 13 Dec, 2020 @ 11:06am
it wont let me play byzantium with this mod
gabe 17 May, 2020 @ 1:49pm
what version is this compatible with?
aegonisablackfyre 14 May, 2020 @ 11:55am
Is there a version of this mod that allows unreformed pagans as well? A great idea, don't ever get me wrong. But I'd love to just start a pagan game and right from the gate have heir designation.
chrisguitar10 2 May, 2020 @ 12:55pm
Work with HIP?
ruimrg1 17 Dec, 2019 @ 4:10pm
Its not for Everybody, for me it only allows to choose between my children. So if I wanted a brother or uncle to be heir I can't chose.
Alatriste 25 Nov, 2019 @ 11:52am
Is this ironman compatible?
Aenon 5 Oct, 2019 @ 3:33pm
@Daveheart Thanks for the update!!!
Daveheart 17 Sep, 2019 @ 3:47pm
Got it working.
I opened up the 00_religions.txt file from the mod, and went to catholic (what I usually play as) and added this line under it with the other lines that define catholic religion.
has_heir_designation = yes
the religion modding wiki was helpful. All kinds of stuff you can add.

Daveheart 14 Sep, 2019 @ 7:04pm
Still no dice for me. Did notice in the succession laws in 2 spots, there was a setting that didn't exist when compared to the ck2 install version of the file. It said something like "year=1000." Does that specify that it won't work until the year 1000? I don't know, just guessing.
Aenon 2 Sep, 2019 @ 2:01pm
The mode did not work in that I see no icon to designate my heir no matter what culture or religion I choose.
SuspiciousSeal 25 Aug, 2019 @ 4:35pm
So i just need to add "has_heir_designation = yes" to every religion/religions I want to like you have it?
Der Große König  [author] 25 Aug, 2019 @ 4:08pm
That depends if the mod in question also edits that. Keep in mind the laws file is only needed to allow primogeniture for Muslims so they can use heir designation without issue although it'll still work as long as you have no landed kids. It may be not needed for you
SuspiciousSeal 25 Aug, 2019 @ 2:48pm
Your mod has edits to both laws and religion, do I need to do both?
Der Große König  [author] 25 Aug, 2019 @ 9:54am
This mod is incompatible with other mods that change the religions file, If you know or suspect your other mod to have changed it then this will not be compatible. You can however extract your mod in conflict and edit the religions file with the necessary changes to mimic this mod.
Nova_with_Attitude курва 25 Aug, 2019 @ 9:49am
can you make this compatible with Christian immersion mod ?
SuspiciousSeal 24 Aug, 2019 @ 10:03am
Nope, it doesnt. Does work with broken world though. Does this work with HIP?
SuspiciousSeal 19 Aug, 2019 @ 8:26pm
Does this work for broken worlds with random religions?
Daveheart 19 Jul, 2019 @ 8:27pm
Saying, in my current game, or even when I start a new game, there is no crown (except on my actual heir).
Will delete the mod and have steam redownload and try it vanilla and let you know.
Der Große König  [author] 19 Jul, 2019 @ 6:46pm
@Daveheart, are you saying when you start a new game the crown in present but cannot designate? Either way id appreciate if you could load only this mod without any changes you made however minute, just load this alone unedited to see if there is a bug on this end.
Daveheart 19 Jul, 2019 @ 6:14pm
Ok bud, I tried it. Unloaded All mods, except heir designation and with Agnatic-Cognatic Primogeniture, I could not designate heir. No crown was present, as I remember there being back in one of my older saves.
I Started a new game, and changed the law to agnatic-cognatic primogeniture, and then tried to designate the other son, and still could not. I'm not sure what it is.
I did add "max_consorts 2" to my religious file for catholic. That's just something I've done forever though. Whenever I start using a mod that has it's own religions.txt, and I know the game is going to use that mod's version of it, I extract it, add "max consorts 2."
I had it like that in my previous game for version 2.8.3.2 and designation worked back then so I highly doubt that addition is affecting anything.
Der Große König  [author] 18 Jul, 2019 @ 5:48pm
@Daveheart, please load only this mod and try it on a new save to test if it is a mod conflict.
Daveheart 18 Jul, 2019 @ 4:49pm
It could be possible, but it's the same mods I had before. I recently formatted my rig to do a fresh start. Also, I was playing version 2.8.3.2 before the format. Now, I've started a new game on the latest version with same mods.
I can look into it. See if I find something.
Der Große König  [author] 16 Jul, 2019 @ 8:13pm
@Daveheart, perhaps you have a mod conflict?
@Aenon, Why did subscribing not work?
Daveheart 16 Jul, 2019 @ 7:01pm
Still not working. Any ideas?
Aenon 13 Jul, 2019 @ 6:59pm
I tried subscribing to the workshop mod. That did not work, so I downloaded the Dropbox link and replaced my files in the mod folder. This did not work either. Is there anything else I can do to make this work? I am an Orthodox king with primogeniture succession laws.
Daveheart 6 Jul, 2019 @ 7:39pm
Yeah it doesn't seem to be working. I have just about all the DLCs except the last 3.
My character catholic, not married, and all children are from concubines (I added consorts to 00_religions.txt).
I have an heir, but I check the next ones in line, and none of them will let me designate.

Remus 6 Jun, 2019 @ 7:46pm

Der Große König  [author] 5 Jun, 2019 @ 6:34pm

Narancia UwU 5 Jun, 2019 @ 3:00pm
I have a problem, when i unabled this mod my latest save games got deleted and only came back when i disabled the mod.Could you tell me what can i do?
Lord Connir 18 Mar, 2019 @ 3:47pm
could you add more wifes to this because any mod that does add extra wifes conflicts with this mode
Der Große König  [author] 2 Feb, 2019 @ 10:28am
@Karl Franz, please ensure your not running any mods that may conflict with this. Otherwise, state your character religion when reporting issues
Karl Franz 2 Feb, 2019 @ 3:24am
Doesn't work.
Der Große König  [author] 8 Jan, 2019 @ 1:33pm
This mod has been updated as of me posting this.
Thank you all for your patience.
Rhetoric 31 Dec, 2018 @ 8:15pm
Anyone else getting an issue with this mod that it forces Byzantines (and consequently Romans) to have no government, thus forcing them to be Feudal?
Gikov 29 Dec, 2018 @ 7:10am
Is there any chance this will get updated?
Lord Connir 25 Dec, 2018 @ 7:38pm
please update
Grimdark McKill Guy 23 Nov, 2018 @ 8:08am
With holy fury, as an orthodox I can't intermarry with catholics anymore as I'm an 'infidel.' So heir designation works but it seems to mess up religious interactions.
Caio Soares 19 Nov, 2018 @ 6:59pm
Wait for update!
Der Große König  [author] 17 Nov, 2018 @ 7:02pm
This is currently most likely not compatible and i will update shortly
Errantem 17 Nov, 2018 @ 5:39pm
Someone confirm 3.0 compatibility?
Hugh Manatee 9 Nov, 2018 @ 7:25am
Biggest barrier to entry is the DLC requirement.
