Yeah, sorry, that's probably just because it's so damn long that the rear is much closer to the camera than the other aircraft.

Looks really good! Wish it was a tad smaller though, it feels a lot larger than it should be compared to the other planes.

Wonderful~

Alright I'm sold~

It's got the Falke stats so It's the fastest it can be
VirgoCompany 23 Aug, 2016 @ 12:24pm
Aaaaah. Alrighty, so is this thing especially fast in game like it's real world counterpart?

I think I made one, have I not uploaded it? And no, the MIG25 was second only to the SR 71. The MIG31 was faster at sea level, but the 25 had a higher top speed because it could reach high enough.

What about the MiG-31?
Wasn't the MiG-31 more advanced and faster?

Not really much I can do about that; The asset bundle creator JUST came out, so maybe when I get used to it I can figure out how to make it like that

Shouldn't there be more avionics? The MiG-25 can have up to four long range missiles.

ok, glad to hear there's a better one coming up.
btw for the bottom side groove, what i mean is like:

between the engines, its not just a box shaped body

DryEagle: This HAS been mentioned before and trust me, it's accurate, I used the blueprints. Please note that the two images you're linked to are both illutrastions so that may be the source of this confusion. Also please remember this is one of my early models and I was not as good as I was now.

RE control surfaces, I just use the polys available for the colours, not where the control surfaces are. They aren't modelled and don't move in game so I didn't really see much point in colouring them. Even if they did move I would only change the colour bands if I changed the model to have more polys.

I AM working on a high poly version, so if you want you can use that instead, but for now this will have to do

(Just a note: I'm a pilot and a military plane nut, so I wouldn't have the aircraft the way it is without some reasoning behind it. Thanks for the comment though, I'll make sure I keep this all in mind for the hi-poly work)

This model needs a little more work. The nose should be more conical/tapered rather than being blimpy, also on the bottom of the plane the main groove between the 2 engines is missing... see here http://www.militaryfactory.com/aircraft/imgs/mikoyan-gurevich-mig25-foxbat_4.jpg also the control surface on the main wings only extends about 2/3 of the way along the wing from the middle, not all the way across, you can see it here http://img.wp.scn.ru/camms/ar/38/pics/1_34.jpg or in the pic above.
i think this is a really interesting plane so i'd like it to be done right!
also the rear wings rotate entirely, they don't have separate control surfaces on them

Yeah, the blueprints showed it being that bulbous so I just rolled with it, I'll see wha tI can do though

Real nice plane, but that nose past the intakes is a little more bulbous than it was on the real plane. Not sure how hard it is to model these planes but if you could flatten the sides of the nose a bit it woud be absolutely perfect. Again, really nice plane though
