conflicting addons will show as red in addons menu

sorry you are experiencing difficulties.
this mod DOES work.
as to why YOU can not see modifies particles....well, i would need much more data to properly diagnose.
for example -
is vpk in folder?
is there another particle mod that is conflicting?
is mod enabled (not just installed, but enabled) in addons menu?

I doubt a frozen-infected smoker would need a grey cloud of smoke and spores, Maybe change it to some kind of frozen haze?
