@TFKnight I don't quite remember but I thought that feature is present ,or it isn't? Which HUD we're talking about?

oh yes I see what you mean, that's the case if some mod modifies some files that the other one may depend on, and it affects it etc

Ok but sometimes it conflicts, and it does not show red in the add-ons menu.

If anything conflicts, it's shown in red in addons menu and printed in console as well.
BUT, you'll need a supported hud or a crosshair support for it to work, then list of compatible ones is on the right under "required items" tab.

It did not work. Does it clash with the Ultmate Single Player?

I've been asked for crosshair support in my mods before, so when I did the new modular versions of my huds back in 2014, I've included the crosshair support each of them. I never personally cared about using those crosshairs as I prefer original dynamic one, but I've made a couple as example hoping people would make their own versions if they need too, that's why there's not many of them (also, don't want too many releases to clutter my workshop list).
TL;DR You can use either of this crosshair support addons: Crosshair Support (global) or Crosshair Support (survivors only) . The latter will only appear when playing on survivor team, but will conflict with most hud mods out there, certainly will conflict with Zeon's ones. The "global" will draw always, even when infected/spectator, but has a fewer chance of conflict.

L4D2 uses vector crosshair for when firing weapons. Then some modders started this custom crosshair thing, which is basically an image, added as gui/hud element into hudlayout.res - a primary hud file
which defines position of all other elements, and, quite rightly so, it's the only file that could be used for that job. Of course, this same hudlayout.res file is often used by gui/hud mods, so they conflict. Zeon, back in the days, I recall, used to include the crosshair his huds too, but last time when we talked in like 2014 he said to have discontinued that due to conflicts with other mods.
