Oml been looking for a mod like this forever. Be my dad
IcyDeadPeople  [author] 21 Mar, 2018 @ 12:48am
@larm and @Zatral, this mod doesn't skip the intro content. It adds map markers which enable you to quickly fast travel to the first few important locations such as High Hrothgar, Dragonsreach etc. These map markers are quite helpful if you use together with one of the alternate start mods like Arthmoor's Live Another Life

@tiitegooutte can you explain a bit more what you mean when you say you are not able to "begin normally"? This mod does not alter the beginning of the game. It only adds a few location markers to your map to enable fast travel.
tiitegooutte 9 Feb, 2018 @ 1:47am
Okay so I downloaded this mod and it works well but it refuses to uninstall, despite my best efforts. I have unchecked the file in the Laucher, even went and deleted the files associated to this mod but it refuses to let me begin normally. Does anyone have any advice?
jrc 8 Jul, 2017 @ 3:33pm
Yup, looks like it's busted.
ZatralTMF 23 Jan, 2017 @ 2:44pm
The mod does not want to function, the only other mod i have installed is through steam workshop and it is the "FrostbiteSpiderOverhaul" mod
Kevin 5 Oct, 2016 @ 8:39pm
hey this mod isnt working for me even thought this is exactly the kind of thing im looking for, i have it installed for sure, its selected in the start menu and i even tried loading up a new game with only this mod added, and it still puts me through the beginning of the game. any suggestions?
Faiien 18 May, 2016 @ 8:44pm
It's my first playthrough so I have already done things I really shouldn't have...I will definitely keep that in mind for my next one, thanks
IcyDeadPeople  [author] 16 May, 2016 @ 1:19pm
Generally if you want to change mods, especially removing some mods with heavy scripting that can affect your CPU performance, it is best to start a brand new playthrough every time.

That said, this particular mod does not affect performance at all, as it simply adds new map markers.
Faiien 24 Apr, 2016 @ 3:44pm
If I uncheck this mod, now, well after the start, will all the map points revert to unvisited, disappear, or stay the same?
I am asking because my laptop isn't very good and I need to get rid of extra mods to help my framrate, and I don't need this one anymore.
IcyDeadPeople  [author] 21 Mar, 2016 @ 2:54pm
@Jesseyk2 this does not change the location where you start the game. What it does is add fast travel for some important locations in the main quest. You can fast travel there to get to the part of the story where you have already unlocked Fus Ro Dah:

Helgen Outskirts
Riverwood
Dragonsreach
Whiterun Stables
Western Watchtower
Bleak Falls Barrow
High Hrothgar
Ustengrav
Kynesgrove
Kynesgrove Burial Mound

If you want to skip the opening Helgen quest, I suggest the following excellent mod by Arthmoor https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=75889890

jade harley!! 20 Mar, 2016 @ 3:54pm
ITS NOT WORKING FOR ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(when i press new game it just does the normale defualt START)
humphrey 15 Feb, 2016 @ 4:15pm
I was hoping this mod made you start with the full shout unlocked and ready to go, but it's still helpful either way.
saaxon 14 Feb, 2016 @ 3:11pm
Am i weird for hoping that this mod would actually just change the last word of fus ro dah to "START!" from Mario Party?
MageGamer4875 6 Feb, 2016 @ 9:20pm
thx if this works all i know is if this works i will love this mod
Fish Salad 2 Feb, 2016 @ 3:56pm
K. Also, should you have a fast travel to the exit of bleak falls barrow, and then make it possible to get back to the burial chamber?
IcyDeadPeople  [author] 2 Feb, 2016 @ 11:34am
@Telluric yes, those instructions are for the manual installation of Nexus file.

For Steam Workshop installation, just open the launcher window and leave Data Files menu for a minute to make sure it downloads / check the box to activate, same as for every Steam Workshop mod.
Fish Salad 2 Feb, 2016 @ 5:52am
Wait, it dosen't auto install EVEN WITH STEAM WORKSHOP!?
akajail1452 18 Jan, 2016 @ 9:12am
I have it downloaded and all that but nothing is happening, i have to do everything :|
BunchaBologna 10 Jan, 2016 @ 7:37am
@IcyDeadPeople I think it might be because i started the greybeards quest before I downloaded the mod. All the other Fast Travel location are there, so it doesn't bother me.
IcyDeadPeople  [author] 1 Jan, 2016 @ 2:00pm
Hmm...are you sure the mod is active in your load order, @Popcorn? Under launcher -> data files can you see this one with a checkmark?

If so, do you have any other mods installed that might also be modifying the High Hrothgar location marker?
BunchaBologna 1 Jan, 2016 @ 12:21pm
I cant get to high htothgat by fast travel.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 10 Dec, 2015 @ 9:41pm

i eat cigarettes 30 Nov, 2015 @ 5:44am
wat about the sky haven temple?
asdf 26 Nov, 2015 @ 9:40pm
amazing
IcyDeadPeople  [author] 25 Nov, 2015 @ 9:16am
@Hectitude yes, it does not change any of the quests, just adds markers so you can fast travel to the first few locations.
King Hectictude 25 Nov, 2015 @ 7:01am
If we use this mod, can we decide on whether we get Ralof or Hadvar?
IcyDeadPeople  [author] 23 Nov, 2015 @ 11:49am
@Dontreadmyname1 that console command is certainly an option. However, a lot of us really enjoy the exploration side of the game and discovering locations - we just want to quickly get into the main part of the gameplay, where dragons are appearing in the world, without walking all the way to High Hrothgar, etc., every time we make a new character.

Unlocking every location via console command in the game ruins part of the fun of discovering locations as you explore the world.

Blue Eyes White Privilege 22 Nov, 2015 @ 6:40pm
You could just use the console command 'tmm 1' which unlocks every location
IcyDeadPeople  [author] 21 Nov, 2015 @ 3:08am
@Avenue, I've uploaded it to the Nexus here: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/71474/?
The Slender Man 20 Nov, 2015 @ 12:36pm
Lmao@ Fus Ro Start XD #Hilarious
muy_thaiguy 19 Nov, 2015 @ 11:54pm
@Avenue, I use both Steam and Nexus, and so long as both mods don't have things that overlap, you'll be fine.
Avenue 18 Nov, 2015 @ 12:33pm
Haven't ever used the workshop for mods, but would this conflict with the nexus mod loader? (obviously if the mods themselves conflict they wont work) Or is there a verison of this on the nexus website? Thanks! :Piccolo:

You should add Solitude and Windhelm so that you can quickly join in with the stormcloaks/empire.
RustyEngines 16 Nov, 2015 @ 8:40pm
@IcyDeadPeople thnx for the info
RustyEngines 16 Nov, 2015 @ 8:38pm
here take my knife 🔪 ohh and my gun 🔫 and my bomb
IcyDeadPeople  [author] 16 Nov, 2015 @ 6:03pm
@dallas yes, this mod can be added at any time during your playthrough.
IcyDeadPeople  [author] 16 Nov, 2015 @ 6:02pm
@Sgt Khismet and @JebusShrist yes, there is console command to unlock every map marker. However, for many of us, this ruins the fun of exploring the world and finding locations naturally.

The purpose of "Fus Ro Start!" is to unlock only a few map markers at the very beginning of the game, so you can quickly advance to the point where dragons are appearing in the world and you can get all three words of Fus Ro Dah.

It removes some of the tedium of starting a new playthrough, while still allowing you to explore the world and find most of the locations on your own.
greenw0rld 16 Nov, 2015 @ 2:22pm
THANK YOU! Now all my save files will be played on for more than ten mins.
SleepingWillow 16 Nov, 2015 @ 1:52pm
you can just type in tmm 1 in the console to unlock all the map markers
but maybe you put it form those who dont use it
RustyEngines 16 Nov, 2015 @ 1:05pm
does it work if u have already started the main quest?
[ЯтR] SSgt. Khismet 16 Nov, 2015 @ 12:53pm
typing tmm 1 in concle commands helps two
HeavenlyHost 16 Nov, 2015 @ 5:01am
Thank you ! Thats what I always missed!!! damm walking all the way to the same *****. Because im a guy who likes never plays the game more then 30h before starting a new adv. This will surely help play the game further without getting bored from he same starting routine.
londen 15 Nov, 2015 @ 10:12pm
@Puratu make sure when you launch the game you go into data files and check load mod.
IcyDeadPeople  [author] 15 Nov, 2015 @ 10:27am
@Puratu did you try opening the Skyrim launcher "data files" menu and make sure Fus Ro Start appears in your load order? Sometimes it can take a little while before new subscribed mods appear.
GackTheGreyt 15 Nov, 2015 @ 7:21am
.
Moridin 15 Nov, 2015 @ 6:56am
i subscribed to this mod but it is not working. Fast travel to these locations is not unlocked
Sam Suphit 14 Nov, 2015 @ 8:27pm
when i said cheat codes (psb),i never use cheat codes,it's just that somebody think(command console is more easy)...and if i want a shout,i know to make this and spells..
hempel913 14 Nov, 2015 @ 7:18pm
It is a great helper though if you don't want to "cheat" with console commands.
