It is a wonderful asset, have used in all my cities as an alternative in smaller industrial areas or with the specia factories, where the big ones looks just too big. Well done, THANK YOU!!!

Does it work? I mean does it spawn trains? I have one cargo station it does not spawn trains but it can accept them and if train comes from city he unloads and loads few % of goods and heads back to the city, but this station wont spawn any trains, which is weird. But as long as the goods is loaded to train from different station I think it is not that bad...

This does not work for me. Lorries will bring goods to the station, but no trains are generated. I have tried an entire network of these, and no trains spawn. Replaced them with the vanilla cargo station and then it worked.

LOD with 200 tris added, lod textures are game generated still tho but I think they seem to be ok.

Yeah thats pretty much what I'm planning on. I'll contact you if I need some help :) Won't promise today but this week I'll get it done.

yeah, a custom one with a custom texture. It should have less than 200 tris (just a few boxes). The texture should be 128x128 or something like that.

The problem is that the generated LOD looks really bad.

If you want, I can also help you with the texture baking if you send me the raw files.

Sorry for the late response, for some reason Steam didn't show new comments untill I restarted it. @Boformer a custom one? or like completely missing the game generated one? I have not made custom lod for this but I could probably do one soon-ish.

Found it but was not easy! and not the same path in AE and ingame :(
anyway the stupid trick spawn at the right place but they always go back to entrance of buiding :(
I think I'll just give up, your station is nice enough to place in city itself!

Tool controller > ToolController, then look for for PrefabInfo (there is the asset name too), expand that and then look for BuildingAI and expand that, then look for m_truckSpawnPosition and m_truckUnspawnPosition, they both have input fields for XYZ coords.

Oh and The_kramer I forgot some stuff, after having the coordinates I want, put them up somewhere like notepad, go back to asset editor, open modtools and insert them there and then save the asset. Ofc if ur not familiar with modtools, it can be quite messy looking at first :p

@ML thanks for the pic, was just writing that I managed to replicate the issue with 6 lane road, I will fix it today but later as I'm currently busy with other stuff. @The_Kramer, I think you need ModTools to change change the actual spawn and despawn points of the trucks. Heres how I do it, and I have no idea if theres better way to do it but I make the asset, then I load a map and put the station down, select the building and hit the option to open in ModTools, then find the spawn points and keep changing them ingame untill I'm happy with them. Hope it helps :)

Seems that it just happens, if the station spawns a truck from a train. These from a factory which return after export goods are all left at left side. Just these which imports goods do this :)

I'm actually trying to make a sunken cargo station with underground 1way road but got the stupid truck behaviour as they spwan on surface of station even with the pink path at -12m. Not sure how to fix that, maybe you have an idea? BTW I love this station!

hmm, that is very interesting, which oneway road are u actually using? I tried it with just the 2 lane one way, tried both directions for several minutes.

Not really, i mean just the exit. They turn from left to the middel of the station (view from station to street) instead of taking the exit at the left side. But just half of the trucks.

That is closest to U-turn I could replicate.That only happens when they come from that direction on the outer line. I can change the truck despawn point so it shouldn't happen, if thats what the issue is.

Thanks for the report, I will look into it today and see if I can replicate it tho I'm not 100% sure if its a game thing thats not fixable or something to do with truck spawn points but I'll do my best. (sometimes even with default buildings trucks can have wierd behavior)

I tried it yesterday, but there was an issue with the exit. By about half of the trunks went left to the middle of the station, and leave it in this direction, than they made a u-turn on the street, because I always use one-way streets at cargo station.

Thanks for the honest feedback, appreciate it :) Probably does but I think I read something about changing some values might break the functionality and no trains would stop at the station, I didn't put much effort into thinking about that and didn't test it out so I can't be 100% sure, No plans to test it either as most ppl are happy with it like it is now. I do kind of understand the second issue but theres not much I can do about really...but then again do real life stations have the same space between road and stations? :P

I lreally like that you've made a new freight/cargo terminal, but I must honestly say that it looks far too small and simple for a terminal that is supposed to handle massive amounts of freight.

What really bothers me about all the rail terminals and stations in C:S is that each terminal/station is different in relation to the number of cells between train track and road. It'd be great if they were all set at the same distance; as it is, there is no consistency.

Blackdragonbird I think thats possible but I have currently no plans for such station as I'm mostly creating stuff from the city I live in, unless your meaning for this station? Which then again, would be a bit wierd since it only has one dock :P Also thanks :) And for mxolsenx and others, I had a quick look if making seperate loading/unloading stations is possible and have to say, I need to ask about this from ppl with better knowledge, will let you know at some point tho :) For Bocoloidz, I have a model in the making for Cargo Harbor and I asked Bloodypenguin if hes going to release Cargo harbor template anytime and he said he will so there will be custom cargo harbor sometime in the future. Right now if u want to change the road for default cargo harbor, look for "More network stuff" mod, that might be able to do it, tho it has to be made in game as you cant load cargo harbor in asset editor.

@ravenz. Do you think you can create a station with multiple functional platforms? Would be great if the game allows the use of more than one platform for cargo trains.

If the trains cant go back they will despawn and dissapear. Same with cargo trucks. If they have no return path they simply vanish. I've been using this "glitch" to reduce cargo and train traffic alot.

@mxolsenx: yes I thought of that, but for one, the trains would have to be able to return, woudn't they? and then the same cargo station could/would be visited by trucks from other places to load up.

Good job! Now has anyone figure out how to make custom Cargo Harbor? Or maybe edit the default Cargo Harbor and make the the road bigger to maybe a six lane? It don't make sense for big trucks to be hauling stuff using a two lane road.

mxolsenx thats correct, it is for both. I'm not sure if thats possible but I'll look into it at some point, can't promise today but soon anyways, interesting idea and I like it :)
