Great building! Please make more Seattle buildings!
Big Sneezy 31 Jan, 2017 @ 5:06pm
@templeofdoom the reason the stairs prop isn't found is because the author renamed the stairs prop. Prop-Stairs (by Breeze)_Data no longer exists in the stairs asset, so it won't be loaded by your building. Best to update this building if you can.

@Huskerfan6767 - this might be due to the asset prop I originally used was either removed or I didn't upload it right. Unfortunately as I mentioned below I won't have any immediate time to revisit this asset as I have the game files lost somewhere on a scrapped HDD. It was created over a year ago.

As far as the load screen mod, the stairs not being available won't discard this asset, you can still use it and plop it, it's just that original staircase as depicted in my steam entry screenshots may not be there. In that case, you can subscribe to another type of stair case with the aforementioned mods and add a few staircases to your heart's desire. Thanks and as I said - feel free to unsub if you'd rather not use the asset without the stair case.

Prop stairs downloaded and in workshop. but when the building loads. Loading screen says stairs not found
templeofdoom  [author] 23 Jan, 2017 @ 2:57pm
@huskerfan6767 - can you describe what is wrong? There could be a chance the prop that was originally used is now deprecated (which I believe is the problem). Unfortunately I do not have these game files very handy and would have to do some searching on a disassembled PC and HDD to scour for them. Could you live without the steps? If you have to un-sub to the asset, I understand. :)

Alternatively - you can use Prop Anarchy and MoreBeautification and subscribe to various staircase assets already available in the workshop and place one manually as you see fit. Here's a shortcut link to the stair case search I did for easy reference:

something is wrong with the stairs for this. Any chance you can fix?

Released in november! How could I missed this one. Simpel realistic look with no futuristic stuff. Just high class. Love it. Well done
ConureGuy_411 24 Feb, 2016 @ 3:31pm
Cool. I actually don't pay THAT close attention to the entrances. I focus more on the actual building and how it looks in the skyline. I'm just very picky about the props, I have so many that I only use the ones absolutely necessary for an asset. (since I have prop anarchy mod)
templeofdoom  [author] 24 Feb, 2016 @ 3:18pm
NO problem Ziggy! What will happen is if you take a good close look at the asset in game you won't notice those appear like I have them in the screenshot. They are actualy minor details so if you feel the asset looks dumb without them you can easily subscribe to those props. I have been extremely busy with personal life but I hope to have a week or so in March to start updating most of my assets and refining some of the mistakes I made when I uploaded them. Thanks for subscribing!
ConureGuy_411 24 Feb, 2016 @ 3:09pm
@Templeofdoom I just checked to see if I was subscribed to this asset and I am. However, I didn't subscribe to the stairs or the park and haven't gotten any in-game errors, So I'm probably good to go? Thanks for the reply!
Captain-No 24 Feb, 2016 @ 2:10pm
oh no, thank you..for all the beautiful assets ;-)

@Ziggy_Birdman - sorry for my late response - just noticed your comment! You know I'm not quite sure that you need the Park asset from the original stair creator. All you will need is the prop as I added that in the asset editor, so it does not require the extra park asset. You should be good to go with just the prop my main man!
ConureGuy_411 27 Nov, 2015 @ 10:15pm
The stairs prop requires you to download a second file by that creator (a park), is that necessary or will it work without it?
j_nobbs 13 Nov, 2015 @ 2:57pm
Oh ok. Thanks a lot for the advice :) I'll be using this building in my cities. If you are in any of the FB groups, i'm called Fred herbert Bloggs. I tend to build a lot and post a lot, but so far i have never modded anything. I'm actually looking for a modder to create a whole Japanese low level housing theme and collection. Then i am waiting for the single cell wide traffic road and i shall build the Japanese city of my dreams :) I already built one called New Osaka, but it was not quite what i wanted, but most people liked it.
templeofdoom  [author] 13 Nov, 2015 @ 2:06pm
Thanks @j_nobbs. TBH, you can skip most of these props if you just want the building. The only one I would seriously recommend keeping is the stairway prop for the front entrance. But, I modeled some stairs anyway so it won't look bad if you decide, "I don't want any of these stinkin' props!" If you want to cut them down you can easily get away with not subscribing to the RMB props by Soldyne and just keeping the plants etc. I try to place props on my assets that even if you don't use them, the asset will look OK (albeit, not exactly how I envisioned) without them. :)
j_nobbs 13 Nov, 2015 @ 1:31pm
I love this building. The game needs more of this type instead of normal thinner skyscrapers. The only thing that puts me off, is the amount of props required with the building.
templeofdoom  [author] 12 Nov, 2015 @ 11:02am
Now I just gotta find room on the texture space to fix that _I map...hahah, it never ends! :D
templeofdoom  [author] 12 Nov, 2015 @ 11:01am
Hah - thank you Tony! @Zed68 this was my first attempt at your very genius trick and I did it very badly. I learned quite a few things for next time that should make it better. Like, make sure you are more careful with texturing alphas and where you're UV's exist! DOH! Took me at least 3 or 4 test assets to get it right cuz I was a bit careless prior to texturing. The non-artifact filled specular looks great though! :)
tony_r_68 (Zed68) 11 Nov, 2015 @ 11:06pm
Nice to see that my tutorials are useful :)
templeofdoom  [author] 11 Nov, 2015 @ 1:52pm
Hah, @OwiHH [NC] - all the juicy info is all there, just a lot of fluff about the building. :) The properties of the building is included as a picture in the slide show and all the model info is included in the description. Outside of describing the asset to you in words I don't know what else to put! ;)
OwiHH 11 Nov, 2015 @ 11:06am
A lot info but not ingame related.. what it does ? :D
templeofdoom  [author] 11 Nov, 2015 @ 10:28am
Thanks everyone! This asset should be updated today with a LOD.

@agusingnavy - you should be fine, I tried to use stock trees but decided to use 1 that was a custom asset in the side bar. If you do not sub to Soldynes props, you should still be OK as I made the entire base plot cement as well.
Londsw 11 Nov, 2015 @ 9:16am
nice one
agusingnavy 11 Nov, 2015 @ 9:00am
Great, finally a darker building. Awesome. One question. If I don't subscribe to the Soldyne's RMB the trees will disapear? Just because I have so many assets... and if the terrain is not flat looks like they are buried in the ground, but it's not a problem (terraform tool).
BoSmoke 11 Nov, 2015 @ 4:23am
Sweet. Love this structure IRL. Please update and let me know via PM. Hey are your from the Northwest ?
templeofdoom  [author] 11 Nov, 2015 @ 2:52am
Thank you @Zularmas! Enjoy! :)
Zularmas 11 Nov, 2015 @ 2:46am
Such detail and dedication on both the model, the research that went into it and the full description ! Great work keep it up :)
