I once had a weird dream where I was in a strange ROM Hack of Super Metroid. I wasn't even like physically playing it, my brain was just straight up emulating it. When I killed Mother Brain in the jar, she skipped the actual boss fight and just disintegrated right there. The real meat of the dream happened when I exited through the left wall as per usual, as instead of the timer leading to an explosion, the creepy music of tourian continued as i fell down into a really long corridor. What was in there? A giant walker that actually resembled the bipedal sentry pretty eerily. It would shoot those rainbow beams and fire small shots at me, so i hauled ass past it and ran into a maze, where snake machines came out of holes in the ground and ceiling and also fired those lasers.

Dunno why I decided to dump this, but yeah.

haha, actually that's exactly what I did back when I made these. IMO I agree with you, they aren't very pretty or nicely designed/modeled. That's the power of retrospect I suppose!
