It is a pity this did not win. I thought it was the best of this style of helmet. The one that got in looked like it was made out of scrap metal from a junkyard. The good thing is, the cape and arm braces made it in so I get my Batman set I hoped for, minus this beautiful work of art you made. No idea why it didn't win.

Yes, I was refering to the hexagonal patern that shows up in certain lights, but not in others. Not sure if you would call that holographic, but I think we are thinking of the same effect.

@Mini_Marauder Cheers! If you mean the holographic style heads-up display that Arkham Knight has, it seemed like it'd be too noisey for TF2's style so I went for a more practical approach. Later on, I realized I might have had fun experimenting with a subtle specular map, creating just a hint at the holographic surface. Moar time pls! Either way, I hope you get your Batman kit! I am sure this has to be the absolute best version of this helmet I have seen on the workshop. There was another that had a texture I would have liked to see on this one, but the shape was weird and the ears were way in the back behind the head instead of on the back end of the sides. Plus, I love soldier and hope to have a full batman loadout for him after this competition. I also want that "Brooding Vigilance" taunt to get it. Anyway, yeah. Best helmet on the workshop.

@Grumbled0re Also, 3+ Batmens, 3+ Scarecrows, 3+ Riddlers, etc... It is the nature of a contest surrounding a single IP. I didn't see Arkham Knight pop up on the workshop until I was already closer to completing the hat.

@jimmy.doughty I didn't make it all class, sorry man! I'm pretty slow at making these things and I barely made the deadline. I wouldn't mind rigging + facial flexing x 8 more of these to offer a wider selection of classes. Time aside, I decided to go with Soldier, as he offered the best silhouette that matched the actual character from Batman: Arkham Knight.

There're already three other Arkham Knight helmets, so yeah.

As someone unfamiliar with TF2 hats, why wouldn't this be all class?

Timberman, this is one sexy model. The proportions are spot on on this version of the Arkham Knight, and I love all the detail in the jaw mechanism. Really hope to see this one in the game! ::crosses fingers::
