Somehow get it to connect to a connector of a large ship, dock, then select your batteries and set to "Recharge". After that, it will charge using the power output of the station/ship it is docked with.

Connect it to a main, large station/ship/lander with large solar panels. Small ship solar panels are horribly inefficient at charging batteries
