@thieflooter it was actually more like $1000 in todays currency. it was 60 guilders worth of goods they sold manhattan for.

The only reason why It might not seem up to scale. It is because over time in New York land was added like in the lower manhattan area in the 70s. But since the author used a map obvviously not from the last 70 years. This is what you have, but you can add land but it takes a long time.

@SaintDamien I would leave that part out, because it would also point out that the dutch sold manhatten for like $5, you can't get a hot dog in manhatten for $5 now...

"A bit of history", leaving out it was founded as New Amsterdam by the Dutch ;-)

But aside from that, it looks like a nice map, and will surely try it one day.
