To be clear, if i set 'Use Conveyor System' to On then it switches to off after a few seconds
so it technically can use the conveyor system, but i have to reactivate it allways...
Any Ideas?
@loremaster: I only did stone because this was aimed as an interesting solution to the Stone Crusher mod that produces a little bit of all metals; you end up with huuuuge piles of stone filing up your cargo.
If you browse to your workshop files (after you've loaded a world with this mode enabled) it should be there in a folder, with the name of a series of numbers (Sorry I can't be of more help, I think it's "560423979"?) .
There's a few files in there, one of them describing the reactor. Opening that up, switching it from the custom Thorium to Ice (and cutting out all the thorium-related files) should give you the exact mod you want.
It sounds complicated here, but I promise it's child's play once oyu actually figure out where the mod is stored xD
If you've made the edit and want it up on the workshop, feel free to upload it. This took me less than half an hour to make, it's a very basic edit.
It doesn't have a custom texture though, but I haven't a clue how to do that. The build texture looks purple-ish for reasons I don't understand. Beside this, no issues whatsoever ;)
Good to hear it's working after all :) Let me know if you find any other issues!
I didn't chnge anything in the mod lately, but I'll try testing to see if a change in the gme itself broke the mod. Let me know if you find anything else :)
sounds good to me :)
Sorry to hear that your computer isn't operable, I hope you'll get it up and running soon.
There is no hurry with that generator. And yes, the mod works as intended (getting rid of gravel, just a tiny bit too slow).
It is a very useful manner for getting rid of excess gravel and gettingenergy also.
The modis meant to get rid of excess stone in a productive manner, but I have to admit I didn't quite expect someone to gather that much xD
My PC isn'toperable at the moment, but I'll see if I can make a large version once it's repaired. It's a busy period for me at the moment though, so don't expect it soon :(
would it be possible to add a large version with something like 30-50MW of power? Right now I am using arund 50 of the small ones, still I have more than 1k of Thorium in storage.
I'll reduce both input and output in the recipe by 90%, and attempt to balance out the build time as well, so it'll be usable on x1 inventory. Should be up later today (depending on timezone I guess)!

But, I think the game just can't properly handle modded power sources properly at present. I put 1 unit in, left the power draw at 1MW for quite some time, and divided the consumption by the time. It looks like 1 unit of thorium provides 2 megawatt hours worth of power. For comparison, 1 large ship battery can hold 3 MWh of power, so I think overall this is a quite reasonable amount.
Nice work on the mod!
@TokMor: The way the game handles output and consumption is pretty weird; you can't really choose how much power one bit of fuel provides
Basically, you set the rate at which the resource is consumed, which directly influences the output power. As such, I had no way of ensuring a low power-output and a high consumption rate.
As such, if I were to set the consumption rate equal to the uranium consumption rate, it would provide equal output, which we don't want.
A uranium reactor outputs 15MW. A thorium reactor outputs 1MW. that's 0,066..~%.
This means that Thorium consumption rate is also 0,066..~% of uranium consumption on a default reactor.
One bit of Thorium is made out of 18000 bits of Gravel. At first, I wanted it to consume gravel directly, but since I couldn't control consumption rate vs output directly, I chose this method to indirectly consume Gravel at a ridiculous pace.
