So two questions, does this mod still work and if it doesn't, are there any plans to update it so that it will?

Are these lights supposed to always look white? Because when I put them down and built them, they were always white, even when I changed the color to solid red. The light color it was emitting was red, but the light itself was still pure white

the hit box on these lights is the size of a full block so you cant use them in tight areas

@PSYCHO The light neon strips that were introduced by Keen look great. At this point, I think that anyone looking for lights like theses should just buy the DLC. As an interesting note, if you make the light pure black, you can use them as wiring. They also do great as pseudo scaffolding to add details.

Should actually be straight forward to recreate and replace the models in this mod with the new ones.¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Unless you want to keep it as legacy for old SE deluxe/beta or whatever. But ppl should let go of those already regardless and collisions are bonked anyway.

Judging by the comments, this mod is completely broken? Shame...
Also, it appears it has a whole cube collision which made me WTF and LOL hard. xDDD

Just to make you aware that these are unfortunatley broken as of the time being, with the blocks coming up as incomplete in the terminal whilst being completely welded up.

But with the new shader , would it possible to get the lights, if it set to off, the same "non-glow" look as the vanilla lights ?
It is a little bit strange, if the lights at "off" still glow (and good visible at distance ..)

Hello there, is there any way for model to also have the color of desired light? Right now they are all white and just give respective color light. In low brightness settings this looks weird. I think that original mod had this feature. Thanks!

Awesome light mod! Any consideration on making the straight and/or corner pieces able to placed on the block edge instead of on the center-line? Would love to use these as head/floor guide lights without having them directly in the eye-line. Something like this [cdn.home-designing.com]

I have the old mod files for this mod back from 11/7/14. The mod back then didnt have some of the light issues that people have complained about. If you like I can upload them and you can look them over if you dont have them yourself.

I have an idea for an addition to this mod, or perhaps, another mod altogether... I would love to see the inverse of this mod, i.e a full block with the lights carved into one or all sides. You could use the same light shapes (lines, corners, crosses). I just have a vision of an interior hallway that has running lights either on the sides or on the ceiling that doesn't have a block in the center space... I like the look of the catwalk mods catwalks lining the center of a hallway, but I would like a light that didn't require a two block tall space. I would happily do this myself if I had any idea how to create a mod, or the 3D model needed for this idea.

Love these. I used them to light a very large station that I'm working on. Put them on either side of the large corridors.

That effect is because I had blocks surrounding those light tubes and had the fall off maxed so it kinda spreads the light around. :)

Keen hasn't unlocked the light dummies which means we cannnot make things like LED panels with multiple light dummies simply because it would be impossible to control each little lights color in the currrent control panel we have now.

Based on Prof.Liebstrumpf you can look at the coding or talk to the author for this mod

and acheve a better effect. although it still has the light dummy at a centralized point, the model changes color with the light setting. itd get rid of the issue for him I believe. Also do you know if they will ever unlock the light dummy?

Keen has to unlock the light dummy and allow it to be resized to match the size of the light or w/e object they are used for.

The Lights are always in white and that blue thing in the middle is annoying.

The straight light is 123 triangles I think.
Vanilla light is 324 triangles

How do these compare performance-wise to the vanilla lights? Obviously, they have a different model, but how does the triangle count compare, and the brightness/light radius? After all, those are the two biggest flaws with the vanilla interior light.
